Hotel Antonius is in Tartu’s very much older part of town, right across the street from one of the university’s main buildings, which houses the university’s art gallery…..and it’s worth a visit. The hotel is excellent. Outstanding staff at every level of guest interaction. An excellent restaurant and the hotel’s breakfast is everything you could ask for.

Very central place. The house with long history. Everything started with good service in reception. Car parking (with pay) in front of the main door. Good bed. Bathroom was fantastic. Breakfast was perfect. Traffic noise was disturbing until midnight. Price is high, but acceptable in relation to quality.

Love everything about this place: the quirky rooms (at least on the top floor), the great decor, excellent breakfast, superb service...only issue is that their AC didn't work as well at it should, we couldn't control the room temperature as well as we would've liked -- but they gave us fans and lighter sheets (upon request), which solved the problem.

Amazing hotel. Most beautiful rooms ever for that price better than most 5 Starr hotels! The view wasn't gorgeous but it was AMAZING!! Food was delicious. Restaurant personal were ok. Reception personal extreme friendly and helpful!! Everything was so good tho! Nice people and great town nearby! Definitely visit this hotel if your coming to Tartu! The best hotel in Tartu!

Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
AVOID this hotel. We paid for a suite however got a small room with dirty carpet and old mattres!!! They refused to change room after we discovered bed bugs had bit us. Breakfast has nothing at all some dry things.. At the end we did not go there since it was so bad.. A Rude woman in reception without any education or customer service skills. The hotel has gone down and stall be avoided at all costs.

Much like the town around it, the building is old, but well maintained, and brings with it an old-style charm. Our room on the top floor was spacious. The view was looking out over the snowy rooftop and neighboring buildings. We were only there for one night, so had limited time to discover the neighborhood. The hotel is conveniently located near the University of Tartu where our daughter was attending for the semester. We visited near Christmas, and the local Christmas market was a short walk away. Be ready for walking in the snow during winter, as there will be lots of it. Our interaction with the staff was pleasant. We ordered room service for dinner since we were too tired from traveling to venture out. But the included breakfast would turn out to be one of the highlights of our trip. There is a buffet which includes a selection from their menu prepared on request. The poached egg with smoked salmon was delicious. My wife regretted not ordering the same, although her pancakes (crepes) weren't bad either.
