This hotel is well located for the Parliamentary circle, and parking (paid) is good. The staff were very friendly, but a number were inexperienced and so not as efficient as they may be (breakfast restaurant table clearing, for example). The fitout is nice, but overall the hotel could better maintained - door frames around the room were chipped, and at least two of the service plates on the breakfast buffet had big chips in them.

From the moment you pull up in the car at this hotel you realize it will have some challenges. All the spots are taken in front of the hotel at the 1/2 hour parking area nearest the check in and were for our entire three night stay. Instead you need to park in the garage below the building and try and figure out the maze into the hotel with no signage and poor lighting. (Don't even try to use the Wilson parking App, it doesn't work) The rooms face the Lake and Capital, which is excellent, but the windows are of poor design so the expressway below is very loud in your room. The lighting in the room is very dim, once you figure out what the unlabeled switches do, and you will need to use a flashlight for a number of the parts of the room. The area around the hotel has a limited number of restaurant options and the walk into town is a mile, the Capital is 2.5 mile walk. Public transport is not nearby.

the Canberra QT is a lovely place to stay. At the moment it has lots of construction happening all around it which makes it a bit inconvenient but the staff well and truly make up for this with their impeccable service. We had an issue with the air conditioning not working in our room and very easily we where moved to a different room with no concerns. Great stay.

Really good hotel unfortunatly let down by the staff in agostinis whose breakfast service was terrible
