This is a very beautiful and lovely place to stay. We were just unlucky to not get proper information at arrival (don’t think this is the norm, just a hick-up) resulting in us not having access to quite a few facilities as we did not know they were open to guests. In general all the staff are friendly and kind, open to try to communicate despite my lack of Portuguese. Did have an awful dinner experience with the person serving the food, basically fat shaming, refusing to disclose what a dish was made on (not asking for recipy, just a choice between two desserts and one had an unfamiliar name so wanted to know if it was eg a cake, in the end we got something that tasted bad to us), and pushing sales. Also, be aware that they charge for the coffee capsules in the room although it is not written on mini bar menu. They have the cutest donkeys!!! I think we were unlucky, you can have a wonderful time there
