"The Royal Motel Tenterfield appears to be a typical basic country motel but it has many special features, the staff were always helpful, the generous supplies of snacks and goodies - renewed daily - and the newly renovated bathrooms made it a standout. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. The position in the town was excellent, just a little off the main road so little traffic noise and the motel is situated in the generous rear allotment of the hotel. "I was travelling with a 17 year old dog and she could sleep inside with me. The cabin had an ensuite and a small deck with table and chairs. Also there was a coffee van who made very nice coffee. Very pleased with the property."

"Very nice and clean, looks recently refurbished, old hotel. A shared self serve kitchen facility for snacks, hot drinks and breakfast was a pleasant surprise when only expecting a bed. Comfortable bed. A restaurant over the road. Pub downstairs with wood fires."
