This memorable place is anything but ordinary. We have worked extremely hard to make your stay feel like home! We are surrounded by the beautiful Chihuahuan Desert, amazing views all around, and the most phenomenal views of the night sky!
We are located 20 minutes from the Ghost Town, & just 30 minutes from the Entrance to Big Bend National Park!
The space
*Up to 4 guests. 2 Adults and 2 Children! We have a Queen Bed & a Full Size Floor Mattress that you can pull out to use. Please use your best judgment!
*Glow House is 100% Off-Grid. We provided electricity through Solar Power! We have everything running from the solar power including the refrigerator, coffee maker, microwave, stove, lights & even the ceiling fan!
-Please note: Do not turn on everything at once. Solar power does run out!
*We have provided kitchen utensils along with pots/pans/dishes!
-Our countertop is a Butcher Block, and we do ask that you do NOT cut on it! Please do not set anything wet on it for an extended period! We do provide a cutting board!
*We have running water as well! Indoor toilet, shower, & sinks!
We do ask that you conserve water as much as possible.
**Wi-Fi available. We also get signal if you walk about 15 feet in front of the container, also On Top of the Container!!
Guest access
*Access to a pool (pay $8.50 per person per day at front desk), washer/dryer (coin operated), a full-service bathroom with showers ($2 per person payable at Terlingua Ranch Lodge Office If you would like a shower after the pool!), & a great restaurant at the Terlingua Ranch Lodge. The Lodge is roughly a 16-mile drive east on Terlingua Ranch Road.

* Wildlife including but not limited to... roadrunners, jackrabbits, variety of lizards, coyotes, javelina, prairie dogs & kangaroo mice.
* Incredible beauty. The Glow House sits on 5 acres & is surrounded by mountains with 9 Point Mesa to the north, Jack Eden Mesa to the east, the Corazones Peak to the south, & Camel’s Hump to the west. Watch unforgettable sunrises & sunsets every day.
Other things to note
*We are very remote in Terlingua, once you leave the city of Alpine, you will no longer have service. It is extremely important that you screen shot or write down your directions before you leave!
*You MUST BRING YOUR OWN DRINKING WATER!
*Although a 4WD is not 100% necessary, during our rainy seasons it is Highly recommended you drive one.
