"Mount Lavinia hotel is in an amazing location with a phenomenal view. The F&B staff and food is excellent and very friendly. There was a games room with a pool table and table tennis table which my kids thoroughly enjoyed. There is work to be done in renovating the hotel and parts of the building to restore it to it’s former grandeur, but all in all a great place to base yourself and enjoy the beautiful and serene waves, lovely pool and mesmerising sunset you can see on the terrace. Note that some rooms have been renovated to a modern feel whilst others are not and have an old world charm to them- so factor that in when booking to best suit your holiday preferences "

"New property. Breakfast buffet is ok. Rooms are ok but some minor design faults were seen. Shower cubical has no door. Therefore water spill onto outside. Spend lot on high ceilings and blockout curtains but light still slip in to the room. "
