The Bluebird Marie Room: A Route 66 Historic Downtown Renovation

The Marie is a beautifully decorated room in the Bluebird. It offers a unique alternative to hotels with a hometown feel, king-sized comfy beds, and easy access to dining, shopping, and local activities.

If you need more space or want the entire 3-unit boutique hotel for your special event, consider the other two rooms, Jessie and Rachel.

All rooms offer warm and contemporary décor with Wi-Fi, a smart TV, a separate bathroom, a mini-frig, and a self-service coffee bar. Each room features an ensuite bathroom with a floor-to-ceiling tiled shower and custom vanity. Sleep in luxury under 8 layers of dreamy, temperature-regulating 100% Muslin oversized cotton bedding. It's relatively lightweight yet still comforting. Plus, it's oversized, so no more fighting over covers! The lobby area offers comfortable seating or meeting areas during your stay. Parking is located in front of the main door. Guests can find coffee shops and shopping galore just a few blocks in either direction.

The Bluebird comprises three private rooms, each with a King Bed and private bath. The common foyer and hall are shared spaces. Guest will access the property via keypad locks. We are available by phone or text! Our business line is text-enabled.

Located just minutes from Interstate 40 and Historic U.S. Route 66 in Western Oklahoma, we are approximately 110 miles west of Oklahoma City and 150 miles east of Amarillo, Texas. We are the only lodging in downtown Elk City, off the beaten path and adjacent to historic Route 66. Initially built in 1905, The Bluebird is magnificently restored, and the owners have worked tirelessly to highlight modern-day conveniences throughout the restoration. The woodwork and finishings are spectacular and a visual delight. The king-sized suites are pristine, and a superb hideaway offers plenty of reading or reflection spaces. While rustic to reflect the period, the décor is immaculate and polished. Pictures can never do this place justice, so get ready…the entire experience is a feast for the senses!
