"Rustic but well appointed old farmhouse on a beautiful property, large enough to explore and even hike to the basin. Everything that you need is provided - literally. The host has all information needed to tour the area at your fingertips, comfortable rooms - with the picture window overlooking the river a favourite. Hard to pry away from that view. "This cabin met our needs for a private little spot for the night. It was fully furnished with anything/ everything you need. I was a bit let down that the cabin was part of a compound where there were other cabins that didn’t belong to the host and the area didn’t look like the photos online.. it was super quiet and a bit rustic but if you’re not looking for a five star motel, then it is a fun place to stay. "This was an outstanding apartment inside and out. Inside it was very spacious with high ceilings which was quiet, clean and cozy. The welcome basket was very much appreciated. The view was spectacular across the water and ever changing with the great tides and cloud formations (we also got Fall colors.) We were literally steps from the boardwalk and swim ladder to the beach. The town has exceptional colonial charm with Fort Anne just blocks away. We used it as a base to explore down the coast to Digby and Yarmouth and up into the Annapolis Valley. Host could not have been more helpful!"

"The property is lovely, convenient, and the owner and assistant were very helpful and easy to communicate with. Two negatives were that the walls were pretty thin, and yo could hear voices (muffled) on the other side. The other was that in the two nights/days that we were there we never were able to get onto the internet, even though we had the password correct. Despite those two things, I would not hesitate to stay here again."

Fantastic spot for a family

"We had a great stay from August 20-27.
