Cosy holiday home with swimming pool

This is a 2-bedroom holiday home for 4 people in the peaceful town of Thédirac in the French countryside. It has a private swimming pool and is close to plenty of tourist attractions.

The small village of Les Arques is 5 km away and has a beautiful church and the Zadkine Museum. Here you will also find many restaurants. Near Catus, which is 7 km away, you will find many lakes where you can go boating and canoeing. The fortified town of Gourdon with its bathing lake is 22 km away. The towns of La Roque-Gageac and Domme are within a 30 km radius and the Biron castle is 42 km away. Only 3 km away is Montgesty where you can do your daily shopping. There's also a bakery in Thédirac just 1 km from the home.

The home has a garden with furniture and a terrace with a barbecue. It is child-friendly and has a children’s bed, high chair, and play equipment. You're allowed to bring 1 pet for €5 per night.

Een leuk huis op een prachtig mooi plekje. Even buiten het dorp Thédirac, gelegen op een heuvel. Daardoor een fraai uitzicht. Heerlijk rustig, ligt aan een doodlopende weg. Goede schaduw plekken aan de voorkant en meer zon aan de achterzijde. Ook de veranda was fijn. De douche liet helaas te wensen over. De thermostaatkraan was slecht te regelen.

Heerlijk huis, Van alle gemakken voorzien. Zeer grote tuin met zo af en toe herten in de tuin. Is het in de achtertuin te warm, dan kan je in de voortuin een schaduwplekje vinden. Zeer veel privacy.

Hospitable welcome from the Owners. He is the local Mayor and has a large vegetable plot on the far side of property. It does not overlook the rental property. Comfortable bed. Plenty of garden at front, side and back with two terraces for breakfast lunch and supper. Very under populated area, so blissfully quiet if you are neededing a total break from it 'all'. A stand up circular water tub for cooling off. Maybe they need to have some Mugs for the large coffee drinkers in life. All very small french cups. Two donkeys at the far end of the large gardens..no problem at all. Very quiet. Neighbouring properties around seem to keep Arab horses. I have taken photos of the land. In June it is lovely, with plenty of flowering plants and green lawns. Two separate outside dining tables, two sun loungers which swing back to enable your legs and feet to raise up and relax. Very French inside. Adequate cutlery and crockery. Good sized shoer and bathroom. Separate loo. Basically you are paying for the large outside space and tranquility of the Countryside.

We werden hartelijk ontvangen door de eigenaar en zijn vrouw, zij toonde met trots een fijn vakantie huis met wijds uitzicht op een licht glooiend terrein. Het huis is prima uitgerust met alles wat je nodig hebt tijdens je vakantie. De omgeving is landelijk en zeer rustig, precies wat wij zochten.

Aankomst was prima, hartelijk ontvangen door eigenaar met welkomstgeschenk en uitgebreide uitleg. Hier en daar ontbrak er wat (weinig messen, geen schaar, pannen aan vervanging toe) maar de accommodatie op zich en de ligging maakten dit ruimschoots goed. Omgeving en tuin waren super.

Een heerlijke week gehad in dit fijne huisje in Théridac. De eigenaars zijn enorm vriendelijke mensen. Ze stonden al op ons te wachten bij aankomst. De Engelstalige buurvrouw die normaliter als tolk fungeerde was helaas verhinderd waardoor de kleindochter van de eigenaren mee was gekomen en ons de belangrijkste zaken wist uit te leggen. Daarnaast ging het met een hoop handen en voetenwerk wat voor een hoop hilariteit zorgde. Ondanks de taalbarrière een prettig gevoel bij de ontvangst. Dat er een mooie fles rode wijn en een potje foie gras voor ons klaarstond was natuurlijk helemaal een verwennerij. Het huisje zelf is van alle gemakken voorzien. Een mooie keuken met oven, magnetron, gaspitten, vaatwasser, genoeg potten en pannen, koffiezetapparaat, waterkoker en er is zelfs gedacht aan een broodrooster. De slaapkamers zowel boven als beneden zijn voorzien van grote houten luiken voor de ramen waardoor het in de kamers goed donker blijft. Dit vonden wij een pré! Het matras was voor ons perfect, niet te zacht en niet ingezakt. De Wifi heeft goede verbinding, ook als je er met twee smartphones en een tablet gebruik van maakt. Het zwembad was toch nog groter dan wij dachten. Met twee opblaasluchtbedden hebben we lekker rondgedobberd. Het zwembad wordt middels een automatische pomp gereinigd. De vliegjes die toch een duik wagen kunnen uit het zwembad geschept worden met een schepnetje. In de omgeving is ook genoeg moois te doen. Boodschappen zijn goed te doen in Gourdon, hier liggen zowel een Lidl als Intermaché tegenover elkaar. Aanraders om in de buurt te bekijken - Cazals, hele gezellige markt op zondag. - Domme, lief vestigingsstadje met een leuke markt op donderdag - Lauzerte, oude ridderstad - St.-Cirq-Lapopie, gewoon prachtig. - Gouffre de Padirac, hele mooie grotten, wel vooraf tickets kopen. Tickets kunnen bij de grot via je mobiel gescand worden. - Rocamadour, goed te combineren met de grotten, je bent dan toch in de buurt en eigenlijk moet je Rocamadour zeker 1x in je leven bezocht hebben. - Cahors vonden wij wat tegenvallen, al is Pont Valentré wel een bezoekje waard. Al met al een hele fijne week gehad en zeker een plekje om te onthouden voor toekomstige vakanties.

Bij aankomst gebeld en binnen 5 minuten was de eigenaar aanwezig. Het oudere echtpaar spreekt geen woord Engels, maar met mijn beetje Frans en Google kwamen we er goed uit. Het huisje ligt aan een doodlopende weg, helemaal in de stilte. Wij hebben dit als zeer fijn ervaren, een weekje totale rust. Het huisje is goed ingericht, alles is aanwezig. Enige nadeelhet kinderbedje werd uit de schuur gehaald en stonk best naar kattenplas. Het zwembad is groter dan we verwacht hadden, je past er zat met twee luchtbedden in (tip neem die mee)! De bakker is op 750m afstand, maar wel een behoorlijke klim! Het assortiment bij de bakker vonden we niet echt top, dus wij bakten elke ochtend zelf onze broodjes in de aanwezige oven. In Gourdon (20 min rijden) zit een Lidl en Carrefour. In Cahors zitten nog meer winkels (30 min). Fietsen in de omgeving is alleen voor gevorderden, gezien de heuvels.

Hartelijk ontvangen door de eigenaars. Lieve mensen die alles voor je willen doen. Mooi huis, ruim en veel ruimte om het huis. Ligt aan een doodlopende weg. Heerlijk rustig. De grotten van Padirac ( in het hoogseizoen lange wachttijden bij het bootje in de grot), Rocomadour en Sarlat zijn de moeite waard. Als je Sarlat wil bezichtigen dan kan je dit het beste doen als er geen markt is. Domme is een mooi voorbeeld van een bastide.

Vriendelijke eigenaars . Vriendelijke ontvangst . Mooi ruim huis , alle nodige comfort is aanwezig . Heer rustige omgeving . Het enige wat je hoort zijn de vogels , 's nachts volledig stil . Het beste huis dat we in de afgelopen 10 jaar gehuurd hebben . Prijs/kwaliteit zeker in orde . Ondanks het mindere weer de tweede week toch een heel aangename vakantie gehad .

Wij hebben erg genoten van het huis en de omgeving. De ontvangst was zeer hartelijk en de mensen vertelde wat over de omgeving en wat er allemaal te doen is en om dat zij geen engels spraken hadden ze de buurvrouw erbij uit genodigd. Daarnaast is er in de omgeving best veel te beleven maar je moet er wel even een half uurtje voor willen rijden en dat is ook voor de boodschappen. Zeker voor herhaling vatbaar als je ook van de rust houdt.
