"The house is located on top of a hill surrounded by beautiful countryside. The owners who live next door were very kind and helpful. There are only two houses on that hill. They are totally isolated, and we enjoyed the peace and quiet. The house is well equiped with everything you need. We spent a lovely week. Château de la Roche is worth a visit, as well as Lyon easily reachable by train from Tarare a town half an hour away from the gîte. ."

"Lovely house with loads of character. Excellent for large groups as loads of space. Limited wardrobes that were usable ! Shame that the outdoor pool kept loosing water and the lining was a bit green so we didn’t use it. Lovely owners very helpful and a very helpful local lady. Nice village. We had a lovely stay. Cependant quelques points restent à améliorer : - il n'y avait pas Internet contrairement à ce qui était décrit dans l'annonce. On ne nous a pas prévenu, donc impossible de télétravailler (à noter que selon l'opérateur, le réseau est mauvais). - le forfait ménage est de 110 euros. Ne souhaitant pas le prendre, on a constaté que l'aspirateur ne fonctionnait...

"Our host was very helpful even making last-minute reservations at a 5 Star restaurant. This is a country home with all the charm. We had all the basic needs and it is a short drive to stores and restaurants. There are some steps to get to the bedrooms. Soap and Shampoo are bring your own. All linens and towels were provided as was a fully functioning Kitchen. If you need ice for cocktails buy it before you check in. Highly recommend if touring in this Wine region."

"We booked the whole accommodation for 3 weeks and although owner was very helpful when asked mainly, we had to request linen changes and adequate cleaning supplies, we had to provide own toilet paper and bin liners. A car is a necessity as laundromat and supermarket are 4 kilometres away. The village is superb, great walks, a great local restaurant with several surrounding wonderful villages."

"We arrived at 16:15 after a 7 hour journey to find the entrance door locked and no lights seen inside and no sign of anyone about. We waited about 15 minutes then decided we needed to go elsewhere to stay and rest. The hotel sent me a text message in the evening asking me to contact them for information on Registration !!!! A notice on the door said that the hotel restaurant was closed for a period that included our night stop. It would have been nice to have known this at the time of booking as it would have affected our choice of venue."

Very tired rooms

"Unfortunately this is the worst Kyriad we have stayed in. It is very tired and needs a lot of work doing to the bedrooms and bathrooms. Air con wouldn’t work, and it was very warm in the room but unfortunately noisy with the window open, which we had to endure, no kettle, not enough towels. The rooms are very noisy, with I’m guessing, limited soundproofing. The hairdryer however was one of the best I have used in a hotel. The reception and breakfast areas are pleasant. Very limited menu in the restaurant. The staff were friendly."
