Mattresses were comfortable and the owner even left a pair of slippers should we need them (which I did) as well as some other thoughtful extras in consideration of the area and activities. "We rented the house to celebrate my mom's 80th birthday. It was perfect. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms - so everyone was comfortable. We put my mom in the main bedroom, with the ensuite. She loved the walk in shower - with the bench! From the giant window, she was able to watch the kids take out the kayaks, playing with the dog and enjoy the beautiful property. The rest of the family was able to spread out over the remaining five bedrooms. Each bedroom was furnished with a queen bed and a dresser - making them easy to move into for the week we were there. We enjoyed cooking and eating together as a family. We spent a few evenings playing cards and watching movies on the HUGE TV. Kitchen was stocked so well - we loved having access to the shared spices. We forgot to bring oil to make popcorn on the stove - was nice not to have to run out, just grabbed it out of the pantry. There were lots of those types of "little things" that made the trip enjoyable. The house was equipped with everything you could need or want. Most importantly, the hosts were amazing and responsive. The issues we ran into were dealt with quickly. They're wonderful people. We had such a good time - hope to return again soon. "
