Firewood can be purchased at nearby grocery and convenience stores.
Firewood can also be delivered to your property. If you would like to have firewood
delivered to your cabin, contact Tanglewood; they will sell it to our guest and deliver.

Lake Burton drawdown schedule:
November 1, 2023 - Lake starts down gradually from Normal (1865.0 elevation)
January 15, 2024 - Lake is 13’ feet down (1852.0 elevation)
January 26, 2024 - Lake starts up from (1852.0 elevation)
March 1, 2024 - Lake is within 5’ feet of Normal pool (1860.0 elevation)
May 1, 2024 - Lake is back to Normal summer pool (1865.0 elevation)
Private Boat Instructions and Docking Information:
If you are bringing a private boat to utilize on Lake Burton, you will need to use the provided public boat ramps. Boaters will have winter public boat access to the lake at a ramp at Murray Cove, and another ramp is located at Moccasin Creek State Park. Georgia Power provides a boat ramp and parking just north of Lake Burton on the Tallulah River for paddlers.
Docking Information:
Once you have unloaded your boat at one of the public boat ramps, you can dock your boat at the property using the dock at the properties boat house. The boat house is PRIVATE and cannot be utilized to store boats, but you can dock your boat to the provided boat dock on property.
Georgia fishing license required for fishing on the property. Licenses can be purchased online for as low as $5/day.
Guests will have access to the small blue canoe outside of the boat house, but the boathouse is private. Life Jackets are not included, please use those at your own risk.
