Living in a Dream
Very impressed with the facilities and location. We have stayed in many Hotels around the world, but as a self catering unit this ticked all the right boxes in comfort and speciousness

beautiful house in beautiful location
My family and dogs had a fantastic week in this gorgeous house. We went in late September and the weather was glorious- perfect for taking in the sites and dog walking. We took practically everything we needed so didn’t need to use the local shops for much but they were well stocked if you did need or forget anything. Can’t wait to go back next year.

A perfect family holiday house
We stayed at Aldersyde for 3 weeks and could not have been happier. We arrived to find the house was beautifully clean and filled with flowers, a welcome bottle of wine on ice and some Scottish fudge! Aldersyde is cosy and perfect for a family with children of all ages. The youngest spent all their time in the garden on the adventure park and the older children and loved the pool and table tennis. All this as well as a separate play room filled with games, puzzles, books and videos for the young ones on rainy days. The bedrooms were cosy and comfortable and the bathrooms excellent. There was lots of cupboard space. The kitchen had neatly everything we needed and was very easy to keep tidy. It was lovely to have the main sitting room off the kitchen so we could chat while cooking. We were lucky enough to be able to make good use of the deck and the view from here is gorgeous! Our hosts came and gave the house a total clean and change of bed linen in the middle of our stay and once again left it looking beautifully clean and filled with flowers. We all loved our stay at Aldersyde and were sad to leave.

Beautiful well equipped cottage
Aldersyde is a beautiful cottage in a great location. The 3 double bedrooms and 1 twin room comfortably catered for the 7 adults that were staying there. Both the downstairs shower room and bathroom have recently been refurbished to a very high standard. Again there was plenty of kitchen, dining and living space for the 7 of us. There is a secure garden which would be perfect if you had young children or like us 2 dogs. The owners were very helpful and responsive. The review book in the house was testament to the many previous happy holiday makers who had stayed there and I would gladly return.

Lovely location, view and well appointed.
Lovely quiet location overlooking boatyard and coast of Bute, view is ever changing with clouds, light and boats. Well appointed inside and out (though weather can be poor). Our third stay at Alderside and may well come back again.

A truly relaxing holiday
Aldersyde is the ideal place to have a relaxing get together with the family. The location is stunning with lots of lovely walks around. If you're not feeling energetic sitting out on the lovely decking overlooking the loch is a great alternative. We weren't very lucky with the weather but the games room and play room kept the children amused for ages. The house is spacious, warm, very well equipped and the beds really comfortable. Coffee and cakes are a must in the local 'Tea Room ' and a bar supper in the Tignabruaich Inn can be recommended. We would all like to return again.

Lovely house with large garden and spectacular views.
A fantastic holiday home with caters for all ages. As a family of 8 adults, 1 toddler and 3 dogs, this property was more than spacious enough for us all without feeling cramped. The garden area was great for the dogs as this allowed them the space to roam. Although it rained consistently there was more than enough to occupy everyone. The games room was a winner with the younger adults and they spent many hours in there The views were wonderful from the house and even better when talking the dogs a walk. We would love to visit again in the near future.

May half term on the secret coast
An excellent cottage ideally located near to the loch and local amenities. A great games room for the kids to while away the evening or on those days when it rains!
