Other considerations for planning your fun!
• Note that the quoted rate assumes up to 8 guests. If you want to have more than 8 guests, you MUST include the correct number of guests at the time of booking or request to modify your reservation and receive approval IN ADVANCE of your stay to ensure compliance with local ordinances and the correct rate is calculated – no exceptions. Violations will result in the booking being cancelled and no refund will be provided, again this is to ensure compliance with local ordinances. This has never been an issue with our amazing guests.

• The property has a large oceanfront yard and gorgeous setting with firepits, palm trees and private beachfront access, ideal to create those memorable family gatherings.

• Regarding pets, we allow dogs (no cats) on a case-by-case basis. The key things we look for to allow a dog to stay is that they are housebroken (potty trained), are small (<20 lbs), non-shedding type dog, that they are mature (not a puppy, i..e >2 years old), not allowed on any furniture, do not cause damage to the floors or anything else and that the owners of the pets thoroughly clean up after them before check-out (i.e. vacuum to remove all pet hair, etc.). We also ask that guests bring a dog bed for the dog to sleep in and not allow them to sleep on the carpet. We just want to keep the place clean, looking new and smelling fresh for every guest. We also have a small pet fee if they meet these criteria. A maximum of 2 dogs are allowed but they must meet the pet requirements and be approved in advance, no exceptions.

Two days prior to check-in, we will email you information with the pass code for the electronic locks and other useful information for your stay. In the meantime, we wanted to provide you with some of the info that's included in that email so you can start planning your fun :-)

• Tasting local goodies:
o Tillamook Cheese Factory: Great fun at the factory as they provide tours of the cheese-manufacturing process, tasty samples of the local product and delicious ice cream
o Blue Heron: Cool shop offering a variety of tastings from dips, brie cheese to wine.

• As for crabbing, Netarts Bay is one of the best locations in Oregon.
We love crabbing from the shore, building a bonfire and clamming all at the same time - it's almost like a oceanside triathlon :-)

o You can rent crabbing boats at nearby facilities. You can also purchase shellfish licenses at each location (required for crabbing, clamming and mussels). Just give them a call in advance to reserve the boats and ask them to suggest the best times to go crabbing (they’ll check out the tides for you). They can also give you tips on where to go clamming. For clamming, we typically go for cockles and use garden rakes to get them out of the sand. You can also go for gapers.
• Be sure to visit Cape Meares for some incredible sight-seeing and photography/video. It’s just a short drive from our house.
• “The triple-play bonanza fun (crab, clam and bonfire all at the same time and steps from the house.” I suggest doing this 1 hour before low tide if you want to go clamming. From the house, walk to the beach access. Toss out your crab traps (ideally low tide so you can get to the deeper channel). One trick is to tie a long rope (like 200’) to the float on your trap so you can tie that off on the shore or to a stick that you push into the sand. Once you toss out your traps, collect driftwood and create your bonfire. Once the fire is started, check your crab traps and then toss them back in for another 30 minute “soak.” Now grab your buckets and walk to the south maybe 100-200 yards and you’ll find the clam beds. You know you’re at the right place as you’ll see hundreds of holes in the sand. Stomp on the ground and if the clams squirt water up at your legs you’re there…it reminds me of the fountains in Portland’s Waterfront. Once you have found the clams, start digging (use a shovel or you can be rough and tough and use your hands…they both work). The clams are about 18-24” below the surface. Once you find a clam, keep searching in the same area and you’ll find many more. It's not uncommon to find 40+ clams in one area and these are the Pacific Gaper Clam (or “horse” clam). Now don’t forget about the crab traps. Check these at 30-minute intervals but you can always leave them soaking longer if you want. Have fun!

• “Coffee, Mussel and Tunnel Adventure (allow ~3 hours and suggest going 1-2 hours before low tide if possible)”. If you enjoy eating mussels or just want a nice long walk with incredible views and great beach combing, this is so much fun. From the house, walk to the beach access. Head north (to the right) so you’ll be walking along the water’s edge with the Pacific Ocean on your left side. Continue walking north until you reach Oceanside. You’ll have breathtaking views of the Three Arch Rocks, but wait, the views and experiences have just begun. At this point, walk to one of the coffee shops just a few steps away and get a large vanilla latte. Head back down to the beach with your latte and then continue walking north until you reach the base of the cliff. You’ll see a dark hole at the base to the right side…that’s the tunnel! Walk through the tunnel…it’s quite large but watch your head. Once you get to the other side, you’ll have a completely different view and OMG…why didn’t we find this place sooner. Ok, you’re still not done having fun. As you exit the tunnel and are in awe of the views, walk along the base of the cliff to the water’s edge. If you’re at low tide, the retreat of the water has now exposed the bounty of the sea! If you look along the edge of the rocks at the base of the cliff, you’ll see all kinds of mussels. You can literally pick and choose what size mussel you want. We suggest bringing a plastic bag (i.e. Safeway shopping bag) and possibly some sharp instruments (like a fishing knife) to remove the mussels from the rocks. If you plan on getting mussels, you'll need a shellfish license. Which you can get from Big Spruce (close to the house at 850 Netarts Highway West in Netarts) or Fred Meyer in Tillamook.

• Also, there's a charming shop close by called the "Cool Stuff" located nearby

• Maximum occupancy per county ordinance is 13 guests total with a maximum of 10 adults + up to 3 children age 12 or under
• STR License#: 851-20-000038-STVR

Full Hearts in Netarts! Family celebration to remember!
Our family stayed at this beautiful home for 3 nights. We were 11 people and this house was perfect for our large group ranging from 8-75 years old! The house had 5 bedrooms and 3 baths. Everyone had a comfortable place to sleep, hang out, cook and enjoy the incredible views! We were lucky to have good weather and spent a lot of time on the outside deck and yard. We enjoyed the fire pits and rented gear from the hosts to crab and clam right from the beach. The beach access was the best we’d ever had! The gas fireplace warmed us up at night. What a memorable trip! The host was helpful and responsive. We hope to be back and would highly recommend this home!

Wonderful location, thoughtful amenities, everything l(!) needed for our large group. Rare beach level property with fenced in yard for our kids and dogs. Have stayed on this beach several times, but never had 2 new full size fridges, 2 pair of new very large washer/dryers, 2 large tables on deck, and 3 ginourmous TVs for rainy days.Bought/grilled oysters from Bay City Oysters. Crabbing was a complete success with 42 keepers in 2 days. We’ll B back!

Beach Haven
The location of this house is just so awesome!! The entire house looks out on Netarts Bay and the ocean, which is always changing with the tides. There are a lot of pelicans flying by in flocks of 30-40 birds/we watched them diving for fish. There are other birds and wildlife also but these were the most remarkable. The house suited our needs very well - we were a family gathering of 15-17 people of all ages and the kitchen is well stocked with pots and dishes, etc., the beds were comfortable, there was plenty of space for everyone to pursue different activities. And each morning we would wake up to the amazing view! Just can't stress that enough. I would definitely recommend this for your family stay at the beach

Amazing Beachfront Property
This was our annual Oregon coast family vacation. The home was beautiful with more than enough room for three kids ages 15 thru 17, an 18 yr old, four adults and grandma! Everyone had their own space and beds. Everyone was comfortable. The deck was amazing with beautiful views and a fenced backyard. The beach is right out back of the house. We opted for renting the owner's crabbing supplies and it was a blast! We caught 3 dungeness and several Red Rock. We also were successful clamming! There were two places for fires in the backyard. The kitchen was well stocked and there were two washers and dryers. The second refrigerator was great for our sodas and drinks. The owners were amazing with communication. They were quick to respond to all questions/texts and very accommodating. This property is exceptional and we would highly recommend this home!!

Winter Solstice Sanctuary
Spacious home in an ideal location to relax and effortlessly enjoy beach adventures. We clammed, crabbed and hiked through the tunnel to explore all that Oceanside and Netarts Bay have to offer. Excellent communication with the property owners. Lots if room and good flow for all guests to enjoy cooking meals together. We loved celebrating the Winter Solstice over the fire pit (after catching a few crabs:).

Fabulous Beach House
What a great place!! The kitchen was well stocked, there was room for everyone and it just cozy. There are two fireplaces and were wonderful especially since it rained for two days. I would highly recommend this beach house. Nick and Lynn were very informative of what was around the area which I truly appreciated since this was our first visit to Netarts.

Everyone — teens and adults — loved our stay here, and we all plan to return. We didn’t get to go crabbing or clamming this time, but definitely will next time. Beach campfire and foosball game and *lots* of beach walks kept us entertained. The house had everything we needed, and then some!

This spacious home offers room for everyone. Books/ games / plenty of setting areas and views galore. Time enjoyed clamming and crabbing with the equipment offered for rent right there at the house. Nightly fires at the campfire and am views right from the house and porch. If all the homes that we have stayed at in Happy Camp, this one is truly paradise found! The property is very well maintained. The house is perfect for a large group and/or multiple families. Sectioned off so you can still be together but also separate also. Easy access to the beach. The only thing I wish we had was an outdoor shower for after the kids were at the beach.:}

FAMILY TRIP
Loved this place! Excellent location to the beach with large fenced yard. That was very handy with dogs & smaller children. House was very clean & extremely well stocked. The kitchen is a foodie's dream...just about every gadget or appliance you would need! It was really fun to cook in such a well stocked kitchen. BBQ was awesome, nice big, brand new Weber. The dual washer & dryers were a lifesaver! The whole trip was amazing, but the house was truly special. Plenty of space for multi-generations to get together, but also to split off in areas to relax (with your own group). The upstairs suites were the young adult's group dream hangout!! The beach is just a few steps away and even on a heat wave weekend - the beach was not that busy. Very low key, dog friendly beach!! We will definitely be back again. Everyone had a wonderful time! Thank you Nick & Lynn!! - you've got something very special there.

We had a wonderful time staying at this beautiful property and home. The layout of this home easily handles a group of people as there are several conversation areas set up on the main floor and one on the upper floor. The beds are comfortable and plentiful as it sleeps 10. The views are incredible of the water and sand. The beach is just a short walking distance out your door. It's a long stretch of beach. Property managers are gracious and available at any time. They communicate well so I knew exactly what to expect. They even checked in via text during the middle of our stay to see if there was anything we needed. I highly recommend staying at this home. You are thoroughly enjoy it.

Wow! Wow! Wow! Absolutely amazing location! Crabbing, calming, relaxing with friends and family! You will not be disappointed at all when you stay at this property. I would highly recommend it! Cheers, to the property owners. The upgraded touches are very well done. Very clean, and well thought out. The indoor fireplace was a fantastic touch as we settled into our evening. The views were stunning, a very short walk and you on the beach. If you have a pet the back yard is enclosed and there is ample parking for larger groups. Enjoy!
