"The peace & quiet here was amazing! Other guests were respectful & the only noise in the morning was the ducks looking for food. Our lodge was dated but comfortable. There were a few minor issues but nothing that affected our stay. So in summary the accommodation is not luxurious but the location & setting are wonderful if it’s a quiet break you are looking for. "This house is lovely, clean and comfortable and one of the best I’ve seen with a more town based VRBO. 2 full baths, very comfortable beds, wonderful kitchen and lounge room and a feeling of being in the countryside but close to town. A few dead flies around when we arrived and the cleaners things (including supplies of wine and cleaning products) were left out when we arrived, and the shelf with the glasses on is slanting so we took the glasses off to avoid disaster - but none of those things affected our enjoyment of the property which we would recommend (and may come back again!)...

"Stayed at this place overnight while visiting Cairngorms & Glenshee ski centers. The room was nice and an excellent breakfast was included in the price. They also have a nice bar. Staff, esp Simon at the reception, we're very friendly and helpful. We traveled using our own car, so not sure about accessibility by public transportation, but this hotel is very close to Grantown high street."

"We have stayed at the Craiglynne several times, for us as an outdoorsy family it is an ideal blend of value, comfort and location. Some of the rooms may be a little tired, but they are large, clean, and facilities are good - it really works for us that they are dog friendly too. The staff are lovely and always happy to help make our stays, and part of the reason we keep going back. There is a lovely woodland area literally just opposite the hotel which is great for walking, particularly having some shelter if the weather turns inclement. Looking forward to our next stay already!!"
