"On arrival at the property we were a bit unsure of the area but after meeting Juan Jose the host we were sure we had made a good choice. the apartment was excellent with everything we needed was in house. There was a supermarket 3 minutes walk away and various bars and restaurants within short walking distance . we were able to catch a bus directly to Santander within a 3 minute walk. "We chose to stay here because it is close to the Ferry port in Santander where we sailed in to from Plymouth. We weren’t sure what to expect, but the house was wonderful, the pool a huge bonus and the location brilliant. "Located in a small hamlet about 7 minutes drive from Santillana del Mar and about 10 minutes from beach, playa de Tagle (there is also a walking path to beach that we didn’t use). There is not a beach view from apartment but views across the valley are lovely. Apartment was well appointed and very clean. The beds were comfortable. Owners left a few little snacks, teas, etc - nice touch! Check in was remote (very convenient when unsure of exact arrival time) and parking was available on site....

Colombres is in a beautiful location with an interesting history and access to the mountains and beaches of Asturias. "We enjoyed our week here. The house was fine for 2 adults and 2 teenagers in the sunshine although it might be a bit small if there was as a lot of rain and you needed to be inside - for example only 1 small sofa to sit on and 4 chairs round the table. The swimming pool and padel tennis court were amazing - we loved using them and mostly had them to ourselves all week! The local beaches are beautiful. A kettle would have been a good addition to the kitchen!"

"Where do I start? First, the positives which were very few. Very warm welcome by a lovely lady, nicely decorated rooms, lovely big bed, good shower. On the negative side, very difficult to find and had to park in an unsecured public car park half a mile away with narrow cobbled streets to negotiate. Breakfast served in room and left the night before was virtually inedible - stale bread and cakes, tea but no kettle, fruit way past its sell by date including black bananas. No air con and very hot...

"We really enjoyed our stay in Liencres. The apartment had everything we needed for 2 adults and a 3yr old (including Wi-Fi, which is often missing from apartments we've stayed in in the past). The area around Liencres has lots to offer, including lots of great beaches. Laura was a great host and very helpful. We'd definitely recommend staying here!"
