"The property manager / owner offered to pick us up from the airport for 20 euros. I double checked beforehand that his car can take our whole family and luggage specifying the number of suitcases. He said that would be ok but showed up in a compact car, and struggled to fit stuff in. In the end, one of us had to find another way to get to the house. "A very old stone building very nicely renovated and modernized. Our room had small windows but the stone fireplace and old sink were gorgeous; the A/C worked great. We had the hotel breakfast one morning--it was fine, reasonable cost; but there are plenty of cafés nearby as well. Alda corp evidently runs several similar hotels in Santiago. "

GREAT PLACE, GREAT SERVICE

"I was in A Coruna for four nights. It’s a beauty and the hotel is located in an ideal location on the cove. It is bright and clean and staffed with great people. There was major construction on a street behind the hotel and the noise was disturbing my stay. (I was sick and just wanted to sleep during the day). Though the noise was no fault of the hotel, they move me to a room on the other side which was a clear upgrade because it was higher and had a sea view. They really cared about my situation. Parking is a little expensive at 25 euros/night but that is my only complaint."
