Seaside Fairy Tale Swiss Chalet, Unbelievable Sea View & Beach

Proudly perched high on the crest of Looe hill above Seaton beach is the truly unique luxury Bavarian/Swiss chalet fairy tale inspired property of Treglisson.

For Christmas at no extra cost, Treglisson will be decorated inside and out including a 6ft Real Christmas tree lighting up the whole living room with plenty of space for all the presents. Also the outside being fully decorated with Christmas lights to give the best festive spirit and joy to your stay. All set to a timer to welcome you in after maybe having dinner out, so no needing to turn them on or off. And of cause a special Christmas hamper to welcome you in!

It's like being in a tree house looking out over the sea, with a 5 minute walk to the beach. This is the place to be on those long summer days, and there's nothing better than enjoying the sun and warm evenings on the terrace in the summer, or in the winter sitting around the two log fires and keeping cosy in the evenings.

The spectacular panoramic far reaching south coast sea views as you walk in take your breath away. To the east you can see exceptional Cornish coastline stretching all the way to the romantic walks of the Rame Peninsula chapel, to the west peeping through the majestic Monterey pines is the mystical island of Saint George sitting peacefully in the bay of the historic fishing town of Looe.

Purpose built for open plan luxury holiday living the downstairs opens up through french doors to the large front terrace giving oodles of indoor/outdoor communal sitting, dining and entertaining space.

Situated along a very quiet hilltop lane, It's very peaceful and sunny position is perfect for unwinding and recharging. Its magical up here in the trees watching the boats bobbing about on the open sea.

Featuring 5 bedrooms, 5/6 parking spaces and fully equipped fitted kitchen for all the family, and every stay includes a gourmet Cornish produce welcome hamper full of tasty local treats for you all to enjoy throughout your stay.

Seaton Beach goes mad in the summer with ice creams, flip-flops, suntan lotion, fish and chips, happy children and tourists from around the world, it is a big sandy beach that stretches from Seaton all the way across Downderry village and beyond, so space for everyone, and dogs are permitted all year round.

You find yourself waking up in one of the 2 master bedrooms to the sound of the sea softly lapping and the reflection of the sun on the ceiling, step through the double doors out onto the sky balcony and take in the warm coastal sea breeze while looking forward to a day on the beach.

After enjoying a Cornish cream tea, maybe drizzled with our own honey from our welcome hamper, in the magical mature private garden you find yourself wondering down to the beach for a ice-cream and a refreshing swim.

You look up from your watch to see children exploring the rock pools, plenty of time for a quick nap in the sun before lunch at any three of the places to eat at in Seaton, the Seaton Beach Café, The Beach House bar and restaurant or the Smugglers Inn. All which are just a very short walk from the beach.

After lunch you pop back to Treglisson to drop off the wet towel and change into your shoes, time to explore Seaton valley's nature walk which winds its way alongside the river, up the lush wooded valley deep into the nature reserve. Can you spot an Otter or Deer? After 2 miles of flat ground walking through nature you'll find yourself in the little Cornish village of hessenford, quench your thirst at The Copley Arms sat right next to Seaton river or enjoy a meal in their restaurant.

In the evening you enjoy ether two of the living rooms watching the dancing flames of the open fire. In the Marble Room lounging on one of the 3 cream Chesterfield sofas while the underfloor heating seeps through the crema marfil marble floor warming your feet.

Above the Jotul no 6 designer fireplace there is a 65 inch Wall Mounted LED 4k Super HD 3D TV with built in ceiling stereo home cinema sound system. There are 5 pairs of active 3D glasses, a Blue Ray/DVD player with a selection 2D and 3D Films, also 2 game consoles with a selection of games, so there is fantastic entertainment options for all.

After a long day, relax with a glass of bubbly on the front terrace and let your batteries recharge while listening to the sea and watching the twinkling stars, the distant flash of the Eddystone lighthouse and passing ships gliding over the waves.

Then up ether the princess spiral staircase in the west wing to the second master bedroom to have a shower in it's shower room en-suit and sleep in it's king sized bed and wake up to it's sea views and balcony, or sleep in the very peaceful garden view single bedroom there and enjoy having the bathroom just across the hall from it, or up the main staircase sleep in the king sized sleigh bed in the first master bedroom right at the front of the house with the best views and balcony too. Or the peaceful double bedroom with views of the sea and Rame peninsula, or have fun sleeping in one of the bunks in the bunk-bed room or in the single bed placed right under the window with the sea and Rame peninsula view. Enjoy the convenience of the main bathroom being right across the hall from these two bedrooms.

The views here will capture your heart and leave you aching to return to this beautifully-presented well equipped coastal home year after year as expressed by so many of our previous guests.

You can see Brittany Ferries and HMS warships going in and out of Briton's ocean city of Plymouth.

Plymouth is famous for it's Smeaton's Tower Lighthouse on the Hoe, Pilgrim Father Steps, National Marine Aquarium, Barbican Boat Trips, and countless seafront cafés, bars and restaurants.

Experience the most beautiful sunrises and sunsets, the sea and sky are always changing, one day you get heavy rain and stormy seas, the next day the sun is burning brightly with a mirror smooth sea.

Discover The Coastline, you can walk for miles along the beaches in both directions and the coast path from the house to Looe is one of the best in Cornwall.

Seaton is a small coastal village, there is the Beach House Restaurant & Bar, Seaton Beach Cafe and Smugglers Inn Pub all on the seafront, with a park, children's playground, multi game court including hoops for basket ball, goals for foot ball and an erectable net for tennis, and a public toilets building right next to it all. Plenty of parking and a bus stop.

Seaton is joined to Downderry on the seafront, Downderry has the Bewshea's Bar and Restaurant, Inn On The Shore Pub and Restaurant, Summink Different vegan/vegetarian cafe and a convenience store.

Wonderful stay for all ages in a beautiful setting
There is so much that could be said about this wonderful property. The views are spectacular, the property its self is truly unique and a very special place. Meals on the terrace were wonderful, watching the sea and being visited by so much wildlife. Our children loved the peacocks and the fish in the pond and watching the many seagulls! The property has everything you could need and more which made for a relaxed stay. The hosts are very responsive and attentive and the guest basket was a real treat! We had mixed weather and on the rainy days the piano, ps4 and board games kept the children amused! The wall down to the beach was great and it’s so close! This is a really special place and I would recommend to people of all ages. Our party was made up of children and adults from 5 to 70 and all had a great stay. Dogs also seemed very jolly with their stay!! Highly recommended.

Fantastic
We had an absolutely brilliant time at Treglisson. Petra was the best host with all the thoughtful touches and discrete check ins with us to make our stay even more comfortable. The house was outstanding - comfortable beds, immaculately clean, plenty of space, decorated beautifully. Definitely a home from home with every possible comfort thought of. There was personal touches like the welcome hamper to the information pack to the array of beautiful healthy plants throughout the property. The view was magnificent and the daily visits from the neighbourhood peacock and his pea hens was a definite highlight. Our only disappointment was that Treglisson was fully booked for the rest of the season because we would have booked again if there was availability. Roll on next year.

Lovely House, Amazing Views
Fantastic, extensive coastal views. Loved the large terrace. Lovely sunny gardens, plenty of space to sit outside. House as advertised, well maintained. Plenty of parking which is a plus in Cornwall where space can be tight. Manager very helpful and kept in touch throughout our stay to check if we needed anything. Seaton beach was perfect for dog walking!

Family celebration at stunning Treglisson ☀️
We wanted a rental property that ticked boxes for ages ranging from 11-72 to celebrate my father's belated 70th birthday. Treglisson did not disappoint. Perfect location, Seaton and Downderry have a few bars and shops and for restaurants, fresh fish and supermarkets Looe and Liskeard are within easy reach. We had to pinch ourselves as the views from the house were simply beautiful, although the hills in the area are not for the fainthearted! Our hosts ensured we were happy throughout our stay and left a welcoming hamper with fresh scones, eggs and other local produce which we all enjoyed, even treats for the dogs! Thank you for a lovely stay 😊

A fantastic house!
We absolutely loved the house. The view is just amazing. It’s very well equipped to a high standard. We enjoyed the open plan kitchen diner, lounge area as we were a group of 4 couples. The beds are so comfy. A short walk (steep) to the beach. The pub served lovely food. A fairly challenging but beautiful walk to Looe. All in all it was fab!! We will be back.

Family celebrating
Stayed at the property celebrating our Ruby wedding anniversary. Fantastic place with amazing views. The area is quiet and a great base to explore the surrounding area. We appreciated the lovely Cornish hamper and crabbing nets etc for the grandchildren. The steps down to the beach were rather steep but you can quite easily walk down the pathway ( adds extra 10 min) to walk. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

Very special house with amazing location
As soon as we walked into Treglisson house we loved it. Plenty of room for two families with teenagers and a dog, as well as a great view of the sea and coastline. A lovely welcome pack from Petra and Shaun, including the best honey we have ever tasted! Seaton beach was a short walk away, steps are steep but didn't cause any problems for us. Short drives to other coastal places / Polperro / Looe and other quieter coves. We loved it and would definitely return again. Thank you

Great family accommodation
Large, fully equipped property in great location with outstanding views. Great for large family groups. Property manager/arrangements handled professionally. Other references to difficulty in climbing up the hill from the beach area justified if you have mobility issues. As a relatively fit septuagenarian I managed without undue difficulty. Worth the effort. A floor-plan would have been useful as the room layout is a bit "quirky" and the spiral staircase to a couple of the bedrooms might, again, test those with mobility issues. Everything else more than compensates. Lovely.

Lovely house in a fabulous location
The house is In an elevated position on a quiet track overlooking the sea. The perfect tranquil escape. The deck at the front of the property has the sun from dawn til dusk , perfect for breakfast through to sundowners! The host had left us a lovely welcome hamper along with home baked treats for the dogs! We walked both east and west of the property for miles along the coastal paths enjoying the beaches and towns along the way. The beach at Seaton is great for sitting, walking or swimming . We were very comfortable in the house and staying in November the log burners made the rooms so cosy in the evening. A well equipped kitchen meant that we could cook with ease and the huge tv in the second lounge meant it was great for watching movies at the end of the day. We would definitely come again!

Beautiful property, with a beautiful view, breathtaking even on a stormy day. Warm and welcoming with plenty of space to relax in, without all being on top of each other. The walk down to the beach is very easy, the walk back up is not bad at all, unless you have mobility problems, nice little bit of daily exercise. Sad to leave.

Absolute perfect get-a-way home!
Exactly as pictured and the perfect escape from London. The Landlord was very communicative and left a welcome basket for us which we really appreciated. The view is to die for and we had dinner on the large balcony every night. The bedrooms are spacious and the mattress very comfortable! The wifi was slow though so it made it difficult for a few of us who had to work (had to tether through our phones to jump on video conferences) but besides that everything else was just perfect.

Fantastic House
The house was in an amazing location and immaculately presented. The property manager was great, when I enquired about board games they didn’t have a couple of them I liked they proceeded to supply these and one was a brand new one. That kind of service is rare. They also replaced a faulty kettle within a couple of hours of it breaking. Overall I could not recommend this property enough

Beautiful and peaceful
We arrived at this Cornwall property ready for vacation and boy, did it deliver! Plenty of space for 9 of us to spread out plus public rooms to get together. Great family holiday
Property booked for a weeks extended family holiday for 8. The flexible living space meant that we were all catered for both with sleeping and living accommodation and then we could all come together in the fantastic open plan space with the most fantastic views. Indeed members of our family who live in Cornwall joined us one day and we spent a fantastic afternoon and evening on the balcony enjoying a BBQ all 15 of us! Petra could not have been more helpful before we arrived and even allowed us to arrive a bit early so we could go to the local pub to watch the World Cup. As others have said property is furnished to a high standard. We walked down to the dog friendly beach most days and used the local bars as well as supermarkets within a 15 min drive. Would definitely recommend and we hope to be back soon.
