Torreya State Park Tours and Activities

I liked it had a lake on the property. Thats about the only benefit other than the cost of the room per night. I wont stay there again due to ordering from housekeeping the trimmings for sofa bed that is the most uncomfortable bed i have ever layed on. Giant bars in the middle and the quality of the mattress is horrible. That being said, we requested them bring a 2nd or new mattress to get around the comfort level. They never showed up to replace or give a 2nd mattress for it and argued with me at my door when i had ordered the pillows, sheets and a blanket as they didnt bring the pillows and were upset when i asked for them. We waited over an hour for the pillows and 45 min for sheets n blankets when i had requested them be there on checkin to begin with as we knew we would be using it. The location to the convention center is very inconvenient as well. It looks close but you have to go all the way around. Hilton next time or another one near there.

Overall, a great spot and close to Epic Universal , a cab ride was only $6 . The property does provide free shuttle . My family and I like to walk so we walked to a few local restaurants and rented scooters as a family.

Staff at the front desk did not speak loud enough almost like she didn't want to be bothered during check in. We staid in the cottages and we did not like that we did not have enough toilet paper for our stay. I now understand that it's a self mananged unit but did not see that coming. It was really frustrating having to have to go to target at the end of a tiring day for TP. The facility should have a connivance store on property. The worst part of the stay was on the last day we had the electricity go out in the bathroom and bedroom with no one available to call for help. We had to pack in the dark with our phone lites, this part was extremely frustrating. I did check the breakers and GFI outlets to re-set but we had no luck with that. The property, the restaurant staff and the complementary shuttle staff was were great. Yes I would return but not to a cottage I will stay in the hotel.
