"It’s a grand old hotel with lovely ceilings in the foyer in particular. The receptionists are very pleasant and welcoming. I was in a very nicely refurbished room on the second floor. Very comfortable and clean, and a really good shower with very good water pressure. I slept well, and enjoyed being close to cafes and the railway station. All in all a really nice place to stay. It will be my first choice next time I travel to Timaru. "
