Very Enjoyable was
The cottage was lovely. Spotlessly clean, very comfortable and well equipped inside and out and Deb, the host, was a star. Stoke Gabriel is a charming little place with two lovely pubs and easy access to other, busier centres. We very much enjoyed our stay and would certainly go back.

Great base for exploring the area
Manuka was a lovely house to stay in whilst we explored Devon on our honeymoon. It was spotless and easy to feel comfortable straight away. Deb was a wonderful host making sure we were enjoying our stay and even got us some Prosecco and scones to congratulate us on our marriage! The hot tub was wonderful! Our dog Nessie felt straight at home and the house is well equipped for dogs. We will definitely be back with a bigger group to enjoy Manuka and the beautiful beaches and hikes around!

Fantastic stay
We had a fantastic week enjoying the area, so much to do and see. Deb was brilliant and was on hand for any issues that we had. We didn't have any, but did request a few items in the kitchen, and they appeared within hours and with no queries at all. A great place for the family in a very friendly and welcoming village. The hot tub was a welcome addition and the temperature was perfect. The whole property was well stocked and the attention to detail was perfect. We would recommend Emma's for food, The Castle Inn, for drinks and the River Shack for food and crabbing. Thank you very much.

Short Bank Holiday stay
A lovely property in a lovely location. In the countryside but a short drive to all of the local attractions. Stayed for a long weekend and would definitely return. The garden gets good sunshine and is mostly fake grass so doesn't get muddy if it rains. The cottage was clean and well equipped. The walk in shower cubicle is in a small ensuite but there's an over bath shower in the bigger main bathroom. The kitchen is well equipped and there were tea bags and coffee pods already there for us.

Fantastic Stay!!
We stayed at Manuka cottage for 5 weeks, of all the places we have stayed over the years Deb is by far the best host we have experienced, very friendly and attentive to all our needs. The property itself is beautiful, spacious, providing everything that we needed, very comfortable beds and based within a quiet area. The biggest perk would have to be the hottub which as a family we enjoyed very much. Over all a luxury experience and we would definitely come back again at some point. Thanks for everything Deb, hope to see you again soon 😊

Wonderful welcome as house was decorated with Christmas tree and decorations, a cream tea and a bottle of Prosecco. Everywhere was spotlessly clean and the owner was very attentive to all our needs. Comfortable rooms with an amazing TV which was much better than our own!

Much needed rest & relaxation
We had a lovely week in the great property. Traditional English September weather with a mix of rain, sun and gale force winds, but no matter as it allowed us to simply enjoy our surroundings. Everything from the Sky Glass TV, the luxurious hot-tub, good Wi-Fi, and comfy beds and furniture was spot on and made for a very relaxing time. Village itself is lovely with the absence of street lights making for a spectacular night sky. The River Shack, a 10 min walk, was a lovely spot with good, reasonably priced food and good beer. Was a good base for exploring both Devon and Cornwall. Dog friendly beach at Goodrington was just a15 min drive away and much enjoyed by Duffy. Whilst we didn’t get to meet Deb, she checked in regularly to make sure everything was ok, which it was. Will not hesitate to book again when we next return to Devon.

Beautiful property! Amazing host!!
We had an amazing time staying at Manuka cottage, Deb was an amazing host, answered any questions we had and was incredibly helpful. The house was beautiful and clean, so was the garden and hot tub which she came and cleaned mid week. There is so much to do locally, everything was within 10-20 mins drive for where we wanted to go with little ones. The pubs in the local village are 10’mins walk, the church house inn being a particular favourite!! The only thing I would say constructively would be to have a few more mirrors, my husband in particular takes ages in the shower! So I found I didn’t have a mirror whilst I waited! But other than that, everything was perfect. Thanks so much!! Xx

A great place to stay.
We had a fantastic holiday at Manuka cottage. It was spotlessly clean and very spacious for our family of 2 adults and 2 young children. The outside space and the hot tub was a real bonus for us and we were lucky to have great weather during our 10 night stay. The kitchen is well equipped and we were able to cook easily. The location is also perfect. Stoke Gabriel is a really friendly village with 2 pubs a shop and close to the river for crabbing which my children enjoyed, all walking distance from the cottage. Also a short drive away is a choice of nice beaches, and seaside towns to explore. I would recommend the steam train from Paignton to Dartmouth, and we had a great day at Paignton zoo as well. All in all we had a fantastic holiday and would definitely return to Manuka cottage again.

We had the best holiday at Deb’s cottage! Everything was just as advertised. The hot tub was a big hit. The welcome pack was a lovely touch. The only thing we didn’t use was the TV as we were too busy having fun. The location was a perfect base to explore from with lots to do within easy distance. Deb was the perfect host and it was lovely to meet her just before we left for home. We can’t wait to go back!

Debs’ place was absolutely lush, with everything you need under one roof. The kitchen/diner were super clean and spacious, the bedrooms were very comfy and had the best sleep for a long time. We spent most of our time in the garden as we had beautiful weather, enjoying the seating area and the incredible hot tub and bar, which was an added bonus. We would recommend this to anyone who wants to explore Stoke Gabriel and the surrounding areas, and would come back in a heartbeat. Thank you for such a wonderful stay :)

Relaxing, peaceful stay in gorgeous Stoke Gabriel
We had a lovely time at Manuka Cottage. Spotlessly clean, nicely furnished, very well equipped and the icing on the cake was the jacuzzi, even in the rain. Also the goodies left were much appreciated. Excellent contact with our host Deb who as promised had lights and heating on for our late arrival and checked on us throughout our stay, ourselves and our dog, Elsie felt very welcomed. We visited both village pubs, The Church Inn and the Castle, the River Shack and also Emma’s where we had a gorgeous meal on our last night. Stoke Gabriel is a lovely village, plenty of walks and friendly locals and we will be back.
