"We were looking for a quiet place off season to explore. What a gem. Cabin was very clean and comfy. Hit the weather jackpot with the extended Indian Summer and a few cold nights. Wood stove was great. Nice yard, literally steps to the West River. Views were great in the backyard. If you're a gravel biker, 1/4 mile away from miles of gravel & climbs. Close access to local markets for provisions, beer, beef and other goodies. Host was very responsive answering questions within minutes. Traveled our senior dog, he loved just hanging in the yard with 2 steps to the grass. Already looking at another booking, must be great in the summer with river. "

"The rustic charm of a beautifully renovated New England barn, with spacious rooms that provide quiet solitude and comfortable furnishings, wall to wall! The king size bed, the oversized bathroom with a giant jetted tub beneath a skylight…SO INCREDIBLY PEACEFUL!! And outdoors there are numerous trails and Adirondack chairs placed at scenic spots to take in the beauty of the land in front of you and to enjoy the star filled wide-open sky above at night, which we did and thoroughly enjoyed! We can not wait to return to this New England paradise! ❤️"

"My boyfriend and I (and our dog) really enjoyed this place. It’s on a quiet road, tucked up into a woodsy hill which gives the feeling of being secluded, while in actuality not being far from a main road. The listing is pretty accurate; the house is absolutely covered in windows, which allows for plenty of fresh air and natural light. The master bed is super comfortable, and the master bathroom is really nice too. I was a little apprehensive about the lack of air conditioning, but there is a unit in the master, and it was comfortable even without it most nights with the cool air coming in from the windows we had open. The living room ceiling fans are a great help too when it’s warm out. We made great use of the grill and deck. Other reviewers are right about the water pressure, but it’s certainly not a deal breaker. The only minor complaints I have are I wish there was guest access to a vacuum- a longer stay with a shedding dog equals tons of hair and it would’ve been nice to be able to tidy up. Also, there were no instructions as to where to put our trash bags, so we had to keep any full bags out on the screened porch. No big deal, just worth noting if you’re staying for more than a few days. Overall, we would recommend this property to anyone looking for a beautiful place to hang out. "

"Cabin was well thought out, super clean and a functional space. Close to Mt snow and Stratton. The only negatives was it is close to the road and driveway was muddy. We would definitely stay there again."

"The house was warm, clean, peaceful and comfortable for our short stay. We were in VT to ski at Stratton but I would love to come back in other seasons to explore the nearby state parks. I would gladly stay at this property again."

"We enjoyed our stay. Being only 15 minutes from places to eat, we had total privacy and quiet. The surrounding forest and nearby river are great and make you feel like you have escaped somewhere. Plenty of room for a family of four with a loft and a private room. Living space was nicely setup. If you want to prep your own meals during a stay, this place has all that you would need. Coffee maker, grinder, and some coffee were there. A dishwasher was excellent. A washer and drier on site make it nice in case you need to get some clean clothes back in circulation. Towels were on site already. The propane fireplace was a nice touch and produced great heat when needed. Communication with the host was great. We didn't need anything during our stay, but it was clear there was support if we needed it. We went skiing for five days and the size of this cottage made it possible to keep our stuff organized, dry, and ready for the next day."
