"Karen’s Le Chouettes is a lovely rural property that was perfect for our family. We stayed in the cottage and we found it so well laid out with plenty of privacy for everyone but many common areas to enjoy each others company. We had a few days in April where the kids were able to enjoy the pool. The beds were very comfortable and the linens were of top quality. Plenty of thick towels were also provided. "Driving on the first night into this corner tucked away at the top of a hill, I immediately know how beautiful this stay would be. Lots of green vibrant nature, animals, and a beautiful and comfy indoors. I can't recommend this enough. Some things to note, though, a mosquito bite is almost a guarantee, and the cottage is excellent at blocking some sunlight out. "

"Lovely decor, good facilities and very well equipped. Perfect for our small group. Perhaps a couple of things could be better: - shower addition for the 3rd bedroom (already sink & loo) & heating in that room - doors all stick and are very noisy to open & close - heating in main living area needs upgrading for winter months (you have to put the wood burner on as soon as it goes dark outside) - a LOT of small beetles falling from the roof… needs treating ?? - fenced area needed for barn to...

"The property was really great, it had everything we needed and the location was beautiful, only meters from the Dordogne and Tremolat was a short journey by car or bike, a little longer to walk. Our hosts, Benedicte and Oliver, were exceptional! The Marche Gourmand recommendation was a winner and playing petanque with the locals the following day, meant we had an immersive French experience.
