Mountain View Cottage

Our home and the 5-STAR guest cottage sit on 11 ac. nestled in the valley on a hilltop between Lookout and Sand Mountains. Our driveway is over 400 feet long which allows lots of privacy. The cottage was built as a mother-in-law suite and sleeps two adults very comfortably, located across the driveway from our home. There is a pond that is about 1.5 ac and located along the lower driveway. We're located 1 - 3 miles from several good local and chain restaurants in Trenton, Georgia. Rock City, Ruby Falls, and Chattanooga, 20 -25 minutes. Ruby Falls features a 40-foot climbing tower with five routes of varying difficulty and 700 feet of rushing zip lines with amazing views of the Tennessee Valley! Also Lookout Mountain Flight Park- Hang Gliding and Paragliding Training Center. One of the best hang gliding experiences in the country is only 10 minutes away.

Cloudland Canyon is only 10 minutes, hiking paths include the short Overlook Trail, strenuous Waterfalls Trail, and moderate West Rim Loop Trail. Mountain biking is available at the newly developed Five Points Recreation Area and along the Cloudland Connector Trail. The park also offers disc golf, a fishing pond, trails for horseback riding, picnicking, and overlooks. Check out our guest book for more information.

Mountain get away
Absolutely top notch. Our stay was wonderful, our host was very prompt to text with arrival and departure instructions. Their property was immaculate and every possible item was provided. I would definitely recommend this property for a couple who are wanting to explore the area. We hiked every day and never ran out of places to see. My wife and I stayed at this property for our honeymoon in 2022 and liked it so much we decided to go back for our first anniversary. The property is located about 30 minutes from Chattanooga and if you like waterfalls Cloudland Canyon is a must. The house is very clean, and the host think of everything. I put in the booking that we were coming back for our anniversary, and they had a gift basket and a card for use when we arrived. We enjoyed looking at the goats, chickens and sitting by the lake as well. We will defiantly stay here again.

Quiet Getaway for MeeMaw
What started out as a quiet getaway for just me turned into a possible stay for 2 more family members, but didn’t. Communication with Angela was perfect every step of the way. I ended up not getting checked in until almost 11PM, but the lights were on with a quaint little covered porch to greet me. It was so inviting and I was glad to finally be there! I was impressed by the tasteful decor that I took pics of many cute rustic/farmhouse items to add to my shopping list for my own farmhouse just about 5 miles away! The atmosphere was serene and I felt safe and secure being there alone. The main house is across the driveway, but was in no way intrusive to my little “bubble” in the cottage. All the little touches were very much appreciated from the awesome complimentary coffee mugs (goats!) to the spa-like toiletries, I felt pampered. The towels were super soft and fluffy (also made a note to find them for myself!) and the bed linens were oh so comfy! I will be staying again as it is close by enough in case I’m needed quickly and yet far enough “away” to feel like I went on a “trip”. Oh, and it’s conveniently located near grocery stores, the town square, local attractions like the Flight Park, Cloudland Canyon State Park and other natural wonders. But I was just fine hanging out in the cottage enjoying the Mountain View and the eye candy (rustic decor) around the property! Thank you James & Angela for creating such an extraordinary place for anyone needing some self-care!

Fantastic Stay
My husband and I really enjoyed our weekend as guests of James and Angela. The property was beautiful, and I enjoyed saying hello to the goats and chickens in the morning. The guest house was perfect, and I loved all the little details. We would love to return!

We had a short one-night stay at the cottage on our way to Cloudlands Canyon. It was incredibly easy to check in, and we appreciated all the finishing touches that were in the cottage. In the morning, my son, who is 3, loved the rooster sounds and enjoyed watching the roosters out the back window. We definitely recommend!
