Magical Tuscan farmhouse

Everything was absolutely perfect. We arrived very late at night, the manager let us in and didn’t give us an overview of anything because of the time. It would have been nice if he did do that the following day, it didn’t happen during our stay so we needed to figure things out for ourselves. It would have been nicer for us & easier if he did take the time to do so during our stay. He was however very quick to help whenever I contacted him for assistance.

A Peaceful Break From The Madness

Like many of the others who have stayed here and reviewed... the place is a magical and peaceful house 'in the middle of nowhere'. I'd like to be completely honest so I will break down a few topics to give some clarity of my review. Communication / Check-In: Leading up to and then during our stay, communication with the host / property manager was quite easy the entire time on the VRBO app and then mostly through WhatsApp while we were there (If you are travelling from North America.. get WhatsApp.. you will thank me later). Check in was a little hectic... our host was a very kind, happy, and bubbly person but spoke zero English, so we had to communicate through Google Translate or general hand signals (which was perfectly fine and it worked). Like many houses in Italy it took a while to figure out what light switches worked what lights... especially the ones outside near the picnic table, barbeque, and pizza oven. So if you plan on using the outdoor space, make sure to listen to the host and then go back around later to try to figure the switches out. The Building: Was really nice... very typical of the area and 'homey'. Comfortable furniture and a nice kitchen space for preparing meals. There are a bunch of things kicking around from previous guests... but I don't think anything is 'stocked' by the host... so you will need to go grocery shopping for supplies (I recommend Coop in Sinalunga... about 20 minutes away). Apparently there is no room to extend this review

Vacanza intorno a Siena

Vacanza bellissima, rispecchiava esattamente quello cercavamo: casa in ottima posizione per chi cerca tranquillità, vuole visitare i dintorni, e anche rilassarsi in piscina; fornita di tutto, comoda per 2 adulti e 4 ragazzi dai 16 anni in su. Facilissimo parlare con il proprietario e con chi si occupa della casa, sempre disponibili se ce ne fosse bisogno.

Superbe séjour en Toscane !

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour à la Casa Sandro ! La maison est très spacieuse, très bien équipée et située sur un très joli domaine avec superbe vue sur la vallée. Nous avons adoré notre séjour et nous recommandons le logement :)

The property is beautiful but we were unaware that there was an apt above us. There are only wood floorboards separating and was very loud. Just those guests walking above us was too much.

Schönes Ferienhaus mit wunderbarer Aussicht

Wir haben Anfang Juni 2022 10 Tage im Casa Sandro verbracht. Der Aufenthalt war sehr schön für die ganze Familie, incl. Hund. Die Unterkunft war sauber und ordentlich, Anna unser Kontakt vor Ort konnte zwar weder deutsch noch nenneswert englisch, war aber so enthusiastisch und freundlich, dass das mit Unterstützung von Google Translate kein Problem war. Winzige Kleinigkeiten, die für uns aber das Erlebnis nicht verschlechtert haben, waren vielleicht, dass der Küchenausstattung ein Rührgerät gefehlt hat und wir den Pizzaofen im Außenbereich erst selber säubern mussten. Holz für den Ofen und ein Pizzaschiber wurden aber auf Anfrage sofort von Anna organisiert. Wir hatten eine schöne Zeit, das Anwesen und die Umgebung sind traumhaft. Sehr zu empfehlen!

A dream come true!!!!!

This property is amazing, the location is perfect, it is very well equipped, it is really a dream come true. We were looking for a peaceful place but near everything, and we found it, this is it. The beds are really comfortable, the bathrooms are spacious and very good. Even we were able to use the chimney. The neighbors are all very helpful and friendly. We even learn how the olive oil is made and took a cooking class in the house. An incredible experience. We loved it; we will definitely be back. Thank you for a unique experience. Francisco and Ana

Un paradiso di pace

Abbiamo passato 5 giorni in questo meraviglioso posto presentato perfettamente dal sito che anche dalle foto ha rispecchiato ciò che abbiamo trovato. Una casa accogliente che offre più di quanto ci si aspetti. La struttura è contornata da uno splendido giardino curato nei minimi particolari che offre un panorama unico e tramonti indescrivibili e il fiore all'occhiello è la pace e la tranquillità che trasmette. La piscina è pulita e accogliente e mai affollata. Sicuramente una splendida vacanza. Difficile andare via senza la voglia di ritornare in un paradiso così..

Amazing place

We had the pleasure to stay in this lovely house for 10 days in July 2021. The place is simply fantastic. The house have everything you need - plenty of space for 6 people and was clean and very cozy. The view from the house and garden is the best we ever experience and is simply amazing.. The area around the house is great and all the small cities and wine places close by has so much to offer. One thing is for sure - we will be back.

Bellissimo soggiorno in Val d'Orcia

Abbiamo scelto questa casa online e abbiamo apprezzato sia la casa sia la località. La casa è molto bella e confortevole. È circondata da un bellissimo giardino fiorito da cui si gode di un panorama mozzafiato. Castelmuzio si trova a 15 min da Pienza e non lontano da Montepulciano e Montalcino. Escursioni di mezza giornata che lasciano ampio spazio al relax in piscina.

Tuscany is very VERY beautiful

This place was wonderful. We have stayed in many self-catering places in Europe over the last couple of decades and this place has by far the best views. I could sit all day and look at them. And, a couple of times, I did, once from inside when there was a big storm. The massive windows really helped with this. Daniele, the owner, was very helpful before arrival and all his information was provided quickly and in detail. The house is clean as a pin thanks to Anna and is very well equipped. The beds were very comfortable and, with the quiet that comes from being somewhat remote, we slept very well. September is a great time to go to Tuscany. It is neither too hot and nor have the winter chills set in. Towns have slightly fewer tourists to crowd you out, although there are still plenty of them. Again, the view from many of these hill towns, like Montepulciano, are breathtaking. We did eat out a bit but as we learnt more about local produce we also ate in. The kitchen has everything you need to cook for a family. We were three but there was evidence that rather larger groups had stayed. The neighbour, Giacomo, was there to help, although he speaks no English. He interrupted his olive harvest to safely retrieve a juvenile starling that got stuck in the chimney. His neighbour, Suzanne, who is Swiss and speaks good English, has a number of cats, one of whom has no teeth and was very friendly. But it was clear that if you don't like cats, they expect to be shooed away. It should be said that it is about a mile from the nearest town and so somewhat remote but for us that is an ideal distance. It is a nice walk to get there. There are lots of really beautiful walks in this area, although it is best if you get your navigation right! The very clean communal pool is supposed to be closed at the end of September but Daniele kindly arranged for it to be left open a few more days. It wasn’t that cold and certainly very refreshing. I can imagine that in the hot months it would be great to lean on the side of the pool and admire the view, which is even tremendous from there. We have never stayed in any place twice but with this one we are very tempted indeed.

Einfach nur super

Das Objekt entspricht absolut genau der Beschreibung. Netter Kontakt mir dem Vermieter. Das Haus steht in einer traumhaften Lage auf einem kleinen Hügel. Der Weg zum Haus führt von der Straße über eine kleine Schotterpiste. Genau das richtige für meinen Subaru Outback. Traumhafter Blick vom Haus in die Natur. Der Pool immer gepflegt und sauber. Fünf Minuten bis zum nächsten Restaurant und 20 Minuten bis zum Supermarkt. Ein perfekter Ort zum Entspannen und Entschläunigen. Das Haus und die Küche ist mit allem ausgestattet was man braucht. Sämtliche Restaurants in der Umgebung sind zu empfehlen. Sehr gutes Essen und gute Weine. Toskana von ihrer schönsten Seite. Sehr empfehlenswert.

Wonderful, restful house with a spectacular view

We had a wonderful stay in Daniele's house. Our hosts were really helpful in advance, providing excellent directions, even giving us restaurant recommendations for our drive from Rome. The house is spacious, very comfortably furnished and well equipped. It's very private, and the outside deck has the most amazing view - a great place for a glass of wine in the evenings. Our kids loved the pool, which although communal, we largely had to ourselves. The house is well located, a short drive to Pienza, Montepulciano and Montalcino. Throughout our stay Daniele checked up on how we were enjoying the holiday, and offered great advice on where to eat and things to do. A great house, highly recommended.

Ein sehr sehr schöner Urlaub

Insgesamt war es ein sehr sehr schöner Urlaub. Der Blick über die Toskanische Landschaft ist ein Traum. Das Haus ist mit allem ausgestattet, was man im Urlaub benötigt. Im Fernsehen gab es zwar nur italienische Sender, was uns jedoch nicht störte. Der nicht beheizte große Pool wurde jede Nacht gereinigt, so dass am nächsten Tag die Abkühlung immer wieder eine Freude war. Die Anfahrt zum Anwesen ist nicht mit jedem Auto zu bewältigen, da die Schotterpiste teils sehr steil und teils mit ausgespülten Querrinnen extrem schlecht zu befahren ist. Hier sollten die Besitzer etwas tun. Fazit: Das Haus ist auf jeden Fall weiter zu empfehlen.

Great accomodation in scenic Tuscany

We definitely recommend this place to our friends. The view is fantastic! The pool is a little walk down hill, but it is a big pool, with a great view. The pictures do not do justice to the property, and especially the scenery. The beds are great, though one room is a little tiny for two persons. The kitchen is well equipped. Finally the outdoor cooking facilities are outstanding: the pizza oven and the huge barbecue make it worth the effort to skip some nights of eating out.

A WONDERFUL LOCATION

This is a very comfortable house in an exceptionally beautiful area. It is part of a small complex of about 10 houses built in the mid 2000s. While their appearance is traditional Tuscan they are built to high modern standards. The location is very tranquil but it doesn’t feel excessively remote as there will usually be other people about and there is a working farm just next door. The house itself enjoys plenty of privacy at the end of the complex. It has quite a large garden on three sides. The views really are spectacular all round. You get a sense of them from the website but no photograph can do them justice. . The interior of the house is spacious with quite a large open plan living, dining and kitchen area and three sizeable bedrooms all on one floor. It’s all extremely well appointed and does not feel like a home that was built primarily to rent. The kitchen has everything - proper coffee maker, microwave, very nice oven/ hob etc. Beds are large and very comfortable. There are two good size bathrooms – again very well finished with excellent showers etc. It’s not air conditioned but that did not matter as the place stays quite cool -. Sleeping was not a problem. The pool area is down a flight of steps and again has wonderful views. It’s quite large (about 20m long and 1.5m deep). It’s shared between all the houses but during our stay was never crowded - mostly we had it to ourselves. There are many gorgeous medieval/renaissance villages within 20 minutes drive or less. Castelmuzio, the nearest, is quiet with one small bar/ restaurant: others such as Trequanda and Montisi somewhat busier with more options in the way of restaurants. Only in Pienza was the volume of tourists noticeable- it has a large choice of dining options. Montalcino Montepulciano and Cortona are 30 to 45 minutes away; Sienna about an hour. Even Perugia and Assisi in Umbria are easily reachable on day trips and are well worth it. The landscape in general is surely one of the most scenic in all Italy. Finally Danielle, the owner, is extremely friendly and very helpful. He took the time to take us on a tour of the local area to help us settle in and did everything he could to make us feel at home. We are very grateful to him for his hospitality. To sum up - highly recommended. (Family of 5 from Dublin)

Top ausgestattetes Haus in wunderschöner Lage

Top ausgestattetes Ferienhaus in wunderschöner Lage (auf einem leichten Hügel) mit Blick auf den Ort Montisi. Der (mit anderen gemeinsam genutzte) sehr große Pool liegt etwas abseits, was jedoch auch seine Vorteile hat: andere Gäste fühlen sich nicht gestört. Die Zufahrt ist ein nicht ganz 1 km langer Schotterweg, der unserem mit etwas wenig Bodenfreiheit ausgestattetem Alfa Romeo etwas zu schaffen machte, aber bei langsamem Fahren kein ernstes Problem darstellte. Das Haus besteht aus drei Wohneinheiten, die jedoch alle separate Zugänge und Gärten haben, und sich somit kaum stören. Das Haus ist wirklich überkomplett ausgestattet, und der Vermieter ist sehr bemüht (aber unaufdringlich) seinen Gästen den Aufenthalt so angenehm wie möglich zu machen. Wir genossen das Grillen auf dem gemauerten Griller und den Sonnenuntergang am Grillplatz, die Kinder liebten den Whirlpool in einem der Badezimmer. Podere Pascianella ist definitiv ein wunderschöner Ort um einen entspannten Urlaub unweit der sehenswerten Städte Pienza, Montepulciano oder Siena zu machen, aber auch das zu Fuß erreichbare Städtchen Castelmuzio, Montisi und Trequanda sind sehenswert!

Superb holidays!!!!

We had an amazing time, the outside space that come with the property is extensive and southwest facing , and well maintained. It was perfect for our two and a half twin boys to run around and try to catch geckos and for us to catch some late summer sun. We also had amazing sunsets every nights from the patio area adjacent to the barbecue with amazing views on the olive grooves. This house has everything you need and more, and everything feels so luxurious, a lot of attention to details and the beds are super comfortable. We really felt at home and at no time we had the feeling of being in a rental accommodation. Oh! and what to say about the outside pizza oven, it take a bit of determination to get it started, but we had the most amazing evening attempting to create the best pizza whilst tasting local wine. (A long pizza spatula would have been helpful). It take a short walk to get to the pool and there is quite a few long stairs, but it has the advantage of being secluded, so no worries if the kids were a bit loud. No properties have direct view over the pool. The location is also good so you don't have to drive to much to get to Pienza, Montalcino and Montepulciano which was my favourite. I need to say that the house is not easy to find especially that we arrived at night, but once you arrive you literally don't want to leave. We will definitely stay again if we come back to tuscany. Grazie mille!!!

Dolce vita à Pascianella

Nous étions 6 et avons passé un séjour très agréable dans cette très jolie villa. Très bien située, la vue sur la campagne Toscane est superbe et reposante. Les prestations tant intérieures qu'extérieures sont de qualité. Notamment le coin repas avec barbecue et four à pizza permet d'admirer un paysage de toute beauté.La piscine logée dans un environnement naturel est très spacieuse ce qui permet un partage sans souci avec d'autres vacanciers. Les propriétaires sont charmants ainsi que Giacomo le voisin si dévoué. Seule remarque, quelques fauteuils de jardin devant la maison nous auraient permis de mieux profiter des soirées dans le jardin, une banquette en rotin pour deux est prévue actuellement, difficile de s'y asseoir à 6 ! Nous sommes convaincus que ce léger désagrément sera réparé c'est pourquoi nous recommandons cette location en espérant que le rapport qualité/prix sera maintenu au fil du temps

Vous logez "comme à la ma...

Vous logez "comme à la maison", grand espace, propreté irréprochable, équipement plus que complet. Chaque chambre spacieuse s'ouvre sur le grand et odorant jardin. Le rêve, complété par une vue EPOUSTOUFLANTE, qui bonifie les repas sur la terrasse en contrebas. Four à pizza fonctionnel avec l'aimable collaboration de Giacomo. Piscine à partager avec les autre propriétaires, tous prévenants et discrets. Pour ceux qui apprécient de profiter de l'air du temps dans une région splendide... A améliorer ? Quelques sièges supplémentaires seraient bienvenus à la piscine, ainsi que des indications sur la région et ses trésors, en l'absence du propriétaire.
