If you have trouble with stairs and/or have heavy luggage don't stay here. There was no one to help with carrying bags up and down the stairs if you are travelling. The reception people will just stare at you while you're struggling and tell you that you should have arrived at a time when the bellboys are here if you wanted help. Just got kind of dumbfounded at the comment. The lobby was lovely. The rooms are not soundproofed you will hear people talking and trucks making noise early in the morning so you wont really get much sleep. Big disappointment really, I was excited before having the chance to visit.

Double Tree (Hilton) in Trieste
Location is excellent. Rooms were good. Team was great. There is no hotel parking. Hotel offers a valet service at €30/night which is too much. Parking San Giusto (€20 per 24h) is 5 min walk. We were disappointed by the breakfast buffet: it is probably good when it opens, but by 8:30 to 9am, hot dishes are no longer hot or overcookes (eggs) or cold / hard (hashbrown). A simple fix: don't load up the buffet on minute 1 and forget abt it, just bring less food on a regular basis...
