Cozy and convenient to natural wonders
The cabin was a perfect base camp to explore the redwoods and experience the Northern California coast. It was very clean and warm. Marke was very helpful. If the weather was better we would have enjoyed the porch overlooking the pond. Will definitely consider coming back if we visit the area again.

Our little cabin
Comfortable little cabin with many amenities. The layout and furniture placement is a bit odd but not a huge deal. Not sure why the fireplace is up high in the wall..again, no biggie. We enjoyed the cabin’s proximity to town, restaurants, and beaches. It would be nice to have better seating available for bonfires.

Heart of Trinidad
What a great find for me and my bestie to explore the Coast. Within a short walk to Sue-Meg National park and the coastline. It was a perfect place to relax and unwind. Very peaceful and clean. I would not only stay here again. I would highly recommend to others.

What a wonderful retreat!
I very much enjoyed my time at the cabin. It is conveniently located to Sue-Meg State Park so I was able to get lots of hikes in. The kitchen was well equipped for making meals. I was so appreciative to have campfires made right outside my door. I’ll definitely be back!

great place for exploring the north coast
This was a very comfortable place to stay while we explored the wonders of the North Coast. Right near Patrick's point, and not far from the Redwood parks....and glorious ocean and lagoons. Spent 5 nights there and would certainly come back again

No hot water
Cute place with great location but no hot water meant no showers for two days. A Broken curtain was replaced by a sheet and safety pins. That was a minor inconvenience compared to no hot water.

Beautiful vista in a cozy cabin
We enjoyed the beautiful setting of the woods and beautiful grounds of Golden Eagle. The cabin is very comfortable with a modern kitchen. The porch with rocking chairs were a delight. Your private bonfire was a perfect ending to a day of exploring Patrick’s Point State Park and the beautiful seaside town of Trinidad.

Redwood getaway
We really needed a getaway trip and this was perfect! Awesome cabins in a beautiful location, beach and redwoods all around . My wife and I were up early every morning hiking amongst the giant redwoods, upon our return we were well taken care of at the cabin. Marco made sure we had everything we needed and would come up in the evening and light a fire for us. We would definitely stay here again Thanks Steve

Nice small cabin
This was a last minute booking and the only option. The cabin is nice, not much space for luggage, very quiet on a quiet street in the woods. We wanted to be close to the avenue of the giants and it was a good base. Cabins are close together so not much privacy. You will smell your weed smoking neighbors for sure. The caretakers live onsite so checking in or questions are easy.

Perfect quiet cabin for exploring the redwoods
Great location and very clean, which is especially critical during these times. This is a perfect jumping off point for exploring the various Redwood National Forest parks and nearby beaches. I would come back and bring the family next time!

I left 1 day early due to power outages. I would have liked to have stayed the entire time but toilet doesn't flush and inconvenience. I will be coming back later. It's a nice place to stay.

Serenity in the redwoods
This property is located in a little slice of heaven - breathtaking redwood forest right at the coast. The caretakers (hosts) were thoughtful and friendly, sharing tips for getting the most out of our visit. The cabin was well-appointed - gas fireplace, full kitchen, tv, wi fi, spacious bathroom. (And these guys don’t skimp on their paper products - no single-ply scratchy t.p. or flimsy paper towels- they supplied high end stuff!) The cabins are close to one another - so if you want complete isolation to finish that novel, this might not be your best choice. But we met some lovely folks in the cabin next door and were happy to chat with them as we came and went. The shower demands a little patience- but once the hot water kicks in, there’s plenty of it. We definitely enjoyed our stay and will recommend the Golden Eagle to our friends.

Great little cabin. Nice "base place" to stay while exploring the Red Wood Forest
Nice little cabin. Private and quiet. Location is great as a "base spot" for exploring the Red Wood Forest. Lots of stops to see about an hour away and Trinidad is a cute little town. We enjoyed the hike to the top of the hill overlooking the coast and picked up wine and essentials at the local grocery store. IF it would have let me I would have rated a 4.5. I am a little picky and it seemed like there were some small ammenities that should have been in the cabin but were not (a few missing cooking utensils, no olive oil or seasons in cabinets) and the inside of the drawers and cabinets need a cleaning. There is a lot of crumbs and dirt that just come from normal use. Other than that...we had a lovely stay and would recommend it.
