Trogir is a small island near Split. No vehicles are permitted, so you park on the mainland and take a short stroll over a bridge to the village. It is beautifully preserved in the late medieval to early renaissance style. That means cobbled narrow passages with irregular footing. The hotel Villa Carrera is a beautifully maintained building of the period. The desk is a one flight walk up and the rooms are another flight up. Our room was under the eaves and very atmospheric. It had all the modern conveniences while maintaining the charm of the period. If you want an excellent, historic property in an amazing setting, this hotel fits the bill. Breakfast is simple but ample and the staff was helpful and attentive. The only negative is for anyone with challenges with stairs.

Ett trevligt litet hotell med jÀttebra lÀge i gamla stan. Vi bodde 4 nÀtter, 4 personer i en vindslÀgenhet som var rymlig. Nackdelen var att man drog huvudet i snedtaket lite dÄ och dÄ, samt att AC:n inte "nÄdde" in till det sovrum som fanns. Wifi fungerade bara delvis, beroende pÄ vilken typ av telefon. Hotellet skulle inte fungera för personer som inte kan/vill gÄ i trappor eller smÄbarnsfamiljer, pga trappa Àven i lÀgenheten/hotellrummet, (i alla fall detta som vi bodde i). En enklare bra frukostbuffé ingick. Det tog bara nÄgra minuter att promenera till kajen dÀr taxibÄtar gick regelbundet till en bra badstrand. Det fanns flera helt okej restauranter i omrÄdet samt glassförsÀljning i vartannat gathörn. Skulle absolut kunna bo hÀr igen om vi kommer till Trogir nÄgon mer gÄng.

Veldig god opplevelse med hyggelig og hjelpsom betjening. Ble mÞtt av en blid og trivelig kar pÄ taxiholdeplassen som fulgte oss helt til rommet. Da vi mÄtte ha ny koffert sendte de en kar til Split for Ä ordne dette for oss. Fantastisk. Enkel men grei frokost.

We thought if we stayed a night in Trogir it would have to be in the old town. Good decision, but parking is a bit of a pain. Ended up in the marina lot across the bridge.

Upon arriving, our taxi driver called Villa Carrara. The Front desk staff came out to the main road/closest access to old town to meet us and help with bags. The tastefully renovated room (in centuries old 3 story building) had plenty of light, antiques, comfortable bed and looked out over shops in the square. For our departure the night staff walked us (at 4:45 am) to the airport taxi that they had reserved for us the day before.

Charmant et avec du cachet.. Le personnel est tres aimable. Un petit manque d'organisation: nous partions tres tot le matin et c'etait complique pour payer. Mais le veilleur de nuit a fait son maximum et tout s'est bien passe pour finir. Merci.

Mycket trevligt hotell. Vi stannade tvÄ nÀtter för att se Trogirs gamla stad och omgivningen. Trevlig och hjÀlpsam personal. Positiv överraskning var att enklare frukostbuffe ingick trots att detta inte stod i bokningen. Wifi fungerade utmÀrkt för oss (vi bodde i en av de översta lÀgenheterna (nr 1)). Stadsljudet störde inte nÀmnvÀrt med stÀngda fönster. Dock skall nÀmnas att domkyrkan ringer för morgonmÀssa 5.30 varje morgon, vilket lÄter rÀtt mycket. Bra AC. DÄligt urval av kabelkanaler pÄ TVn.

We were upgraded to a massive apartment. Much too big for our needs, but well appreciated.

We were really pleased with our stay at Villa Carrara - the location is great and the price is very reasonable! The staff were very welcoming & we felt very at home. The ice cream parlour, owned by the same people, below, is an absolute must! Only downside was that the hot water didn't last long, so showers got a bit chilly!

The location is really spot on! Staff was helpfull with rental car and because we were only guests, (early season), we got to choose our room ourself! Rooms are very spacious and the view is great! Kaikki sujui, kuten piti. YstÀvÀllinen henkilökunta ja todella auttavaista mm. vuokra-auton kanssa. Huoneet on yllÀttÀvÀn isoja ja viihtyisiÀ. Todella siistiÀ! Ainoa pienen pieni miinus oli pienet suihkutilat, mutta ei missÀÀn nimessÀ este uudelle yöpymiselle.

Detta hotell ligger mitt i de centrala delarna av trogir nÀra strandpromenaden. Rekommenderas varmt! Det negativa som finns att anmÀrka pÄ Àr ganska basal frukost med toast, kokt Àgg och yoghurt. I övrigt jÀttebra!

Exactly what we wanted, quaint little place in the old part of town. The room was really nice, comfy beds good clean linen and the staff were fantastic. Very friendly only wish we could have stayed longer. Annette
