A 5-star rental
What an awesome cabin located on a beautiful lake! Our stay here couldn’t have been any better. The owners were lovely. They left complete information relating to the cabin itself and extra info regarding the surrounding area. The cottage itself had absolutely everything we could have possibly needed and more! It was located centrally to all of the UP attractions that we visited (Pictured Rocks, Soo Locks, Tahquamenon Falls, Mackinac Island). If you’re looking for a rental that truly deserves 5 stars, look no further! We hope we are able to visit again soon.

Peaceful!
We had such a wonderful time at this property. We brought our 6 kids, ranging in age from 3-17. There was plenty of space, the yard is huge, and the sandy beach was great for spending hours on! It is within driving time of so many neat sightseeing opportunities, too. Thanks for the use of such a wonderful place!

We were looking for a getaway vacation that allowed us maintain distance from people but still provide lots of fun and Trout Lake delivered! The house was perfect with its own little private beach, lots of room to relax and just be. We will definitely be back.

Trout Lake Cabin
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay....we visited last July and liked it so much we came back:) It's a great cabin, very clean and kept in good condition. We love the lake and the atmosphere. The only minor issue is when it gets very warm it gets very stuffy in the upstairs bedrooms even with the fans, etc and it was hard at times for the kids to sleep (Now we had some heatwave and it was 91 one day which never happens I'm sure, lol! That was obviously extreme and unusual but we've had days around 85 and it does get warm, I recall this a couple days last year. Although the warm temps is probably better for the bugs though, so that's the silver lining:) But it's a great cabin and we really enjoy it! It's a great location and we took day trips to the Soo, St Ignace, etc . My kids are always sad to go home!:) We plan on coming back again in the future!

Perfect family vacation spot!
We love coming to Trout Lake. The kids swam or fished most of the days. We did not have to leave unless we wanted to. Very clean and well stocked cottage. Books for the littles, games, hammock and swing. Perfect! We look forward to our next stay.

Great cabin, centrally located to all UP has to offer
We had a wonderful stay at this cabin. The owners we're very easy to work with. The location is beautiful. Sunsets were fantastic. The cabin was clean, comfortable, and fully stocked with everything you might need. It was centrally located to everything we wanted to see in the UP. 30 minutes to St Ignace, 1 hour to whitefish point, 1 hr 40 min to Munising, 2 hrs to Garden. We did it all while there, and the cabin was a great place to come back and relax after seeing the sights. My kids had so much fun splashing around in the water and trying out the canoe. The water is shallow and sandy, perfect for young kids. I loved having access to a washer and dryer, which allowed us to come home with clean clothes. We have AT&T cell service, and service is spotty in the UP. We had bars in most of the major cities, but not away from town. We did have enough bars in the living room of the cabin to google the next place we wanted to go and to make phone calls. Make sure you bring plenty of bug spray, as mosquitoes are bad in the UP (but it could just be the very wet spring we have had here in MI). Luckily the cabin has a lovely all season porch, so you can sit "outside", but not with the mosquitoes. And the view from the living room faces right out to the yard and the lake so you can watch the older kids from there if you prefer. We would stay here again on our next trip to the UP.

Awesome cabin
Everything was provided. It was centrally located to everything we wanted to do in the area. The lake was beautiful. The nearby town was super friendly. They even have a rowboat and a canoe. So much fun to use! The 3 bedroom cabin also has 1 and a half bathroom, which was nice for 4 of us being there for a week.

Just awesome !
My wife and I decided to get together with our good friends from Indianapolis for about a three day stay at the Trout Lake cabin and I have to say it was one of the nicest vacation rentals we ever rented. Everything was so neat and clean and very well stocked for everything we needed during our stay. Ken and Patt were both awesome. Very easy to talk to and making sure that everything would be perfect for our stay. Unfortunately the weather didn't cooperate and we weren't able to take advantage of all the outdoor activities that were available to us, but we still made the best of it and had a lot of fun. Did I forget the beautiful view ? Well it was, especially at sunset. Definitely will keep this cabin in mind in the future maybe in a warmer month.

Beautiful view and great location!
This cottage is located in a great central location of the UP. My husband and I stayed there to celebrate our 1 year wedding Anniversary. We hiked trails in the area, spent a day on a riverboat ride to the Tahquamenon Falls, took a day trip to Wawa, Canada and relaxed at the cottage!! The view of the fall colors from the cottage on the lake was beautiful. The cottage felt just like home and was well stocked. Bed was very comfy and the fireplace was so cozy!! We loved everything about our stay and would love to return again in the future.

Perfect place to spend some time away!
Within hours of settling in, we were already planning our next trip. If we were to have a place of our own, this would check all of the boxes and then some. The owners were very thorough in their instructions of using the cabin, and had everything you could need for an extended stay and then some. Things I would never expect from a vacation rental. My wife and I went with our 6 year old son and he had a great time; going fishing, boat rides (on the owners rental boat), hanging out by the fire and grilling our meals in the well manicured and spacious yard. The house itself was very clean and well cared for, and every appliance and utility worked great. Even had laundry available to use so we had no dirty laundry to bring home with us which is always nice! The lake was quiet, we only saw one other boat out the entire time, probably because we were a little earlier to arrive for the season than most. Overall we had absolutely 0 complaints or things we would change about our stay and the property. Will be back soon!

This cabin was GREAT! It was clean and well stocked.
We had such a great time! We spent many hours on the trails and did a lot of sight seeing too! We saw bear tracks on the trails our daughter's thought that was pretty awesome. It's been months since our stay and the girls are still talking about it and asking when we are going back. Thanks for opening up your lovely cabin! We will be back!
