"We had never stayed in a hotel where you used your phone for main door access and room , once we hit our head round it , it was fine. I really liked the concept of the social space , buying your own food in the communal space , a great coffee machine for free use . Reception person was very helpful. "

"The large rooms are spotless, the bed comfortable, and the AC works! The room was completed refreshed each day of our 3 night stay and the supplies fully restocked. The reception staff (Charles and his team) and warm, friendly, and as accommodating as possible in every way (free water whenever requested, maps, directions, silverware to use at the lobby tables, money changing, information and directions for the laundry mat, etc.). If you are looking to explore old town Bern and other areas of Switzerland, the location could not be more perfect. It is a short walk from the rail station and right at the edge of old town Bern. We explored all over old town and used the trains to visit Lucerne, Interlaken, and other locations. It was absolutely perfect! This was the BEST hotel stay we have had on our 4 week journey through Europe."

"New and modern rooms are very nice. No need to use EU plug adapter to recharge phones as the charging cords plug directly into wall terminals. Great location just behind the train and boat cruise station. Very affordable 24 hour parking across the street below the Migros shopping mall. Staff is very knowledgeable and always ready to help. Highly recommend. "

"We LOVED this location. We had a lake view room with a balcony which we very much enjoyed. Highly recommend staying in Iseltwald versus Interlaken because of the charm of the small village and the setting. We didnt see much of Interlaken but it seemed commercialized and didnt have much character, but it was the main transportation hub. If you dont mind coordinating with the bus schedule to get to Iseltwald, it was such a nicer spot to be. The hostel was very clean, the staff were wonderful and very helpful, the view was amazing and we appreciated having the outdoor space to use and common dining room/living room and access to the kitchen. The only drawback is that the building is older and the walls were very thin, but the guests were very respectful and fairly quiet so we slept quite well. They provide earplugs too! Would definitely recommend this place regardless!"
