"We had an excellent stay and really enjoyed interacting with Margaret. She was very polite and attentive. If you are looking for a peaceful getaway, I highly recommend this location. Its just a quick drive to the local shops, there is an amazing park with a castle in Portumna, and we were able to visit neighboring towns with ease. "Just 50km from Galway and in the countryside, this home was a wonderful base for explorations from Connemara down to Limerick. We could have fared further but for lack of time. The home is quite charming, Brid gave us excellent recommendations for nearby eateries and had stocked the home with information useful to tourists. "The hotel is modern and stylish but not too upmarket. The room has a good, hard bed; the area is quiet, a little further away from the centre of the town and it allows decent sleep. The breakfast is very good if you pay for it.. ( it’s worth the money ) .. The kitchen is a good standard, and, there’s a bar. It’s a very good hotel, believe!!"

"Rooms are clean, spacious and beds incredibly comfy. All the staff are friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Both breakfast & dinner were delicious, though the menu did feel a little limited, especially for vegetarian options. Pool/Sauna facilities were clean & well maintained, only negative being that there seems to be no time limit in place. Groups sitting in the hot tub for over an hour meaning no one else could use it. Feel this could be managed better. Overall though a great hotel, walking distance from city centre. Would definitely recommend and stay again."
