Comfortable bed, good breakfast and very close to many attractions. Great rooftop bar. Staff were excellent.

We paid a lot of money to upgraded our room. Room, service, food etc was good however, the boat only goes a short distance into the Bay, then drops anchor. You do not cruise through the bay on this ship. There is a small vessel for doing day activities so the upgraded room was of little value and the cruise didn’t meet our expectations. Consider a smaller ship that can explore the whole bay.

Hanoi Royal Palace Hotel 2 is a small older hotel. It rained the entire week we stayed there and our room felt damp. There was always condensation on the windows as well as the walls and floor in the bathroom. There was no fan in the bathroom which added to the problem. Rooms are not soundproof and the noise from the busy Hanoi traffic was constant. On the positive side, the staff were all excellent. The place was clean and well cared for. The breakfast was good and the service was great. Our room had a large balcony but the weather prevented us from using it.

Our stay at the hotel was phenomenal, the staff are exceptionally helpful and easy to understand, and the property itself is clean and bright and easy to relax in. The buffet breakfast has tons of options for everyone, and the location itself is very close to anything you might need, and if you can’t find something, the staff are incredibly helpful with pointing you in the right direction. Fantastic stay, and we will definitely be back.
