Unacceptably Dirty, and Property Management unavailable
This was not a good experience. The house had dead bugs in literally every room, the pool was not clean, the windows were filthy, and the A/C was struggling to get the temperature below 80 degrees. Also, there was a dead rat in an outdoor rat trap and garbage stacked in the garage. It looked like the house had not been occupied or cleaned for at least a couple of months.
Took pictures of all issues and texted them to the property management company's contact number as instructed. No reply other than auto replies for over an hour, so I called the phone number listed. Customer service could not get the "local team" for over an hour. Told them that we were not staying unless we had a resolution to the issues. They said we could expect a reply in 24-48 business hours, which would be past our three-night stay.
So we left. Very disappointing to have to switch locations, but it turned out well because we stayed at a wonderful hotel instead.
Received a voicemail the next afternoon, saying they would refund all charges, with an excuse of "it's monsoon season". I am a lifelong Arizona resident. I understand what monsoons can do, but they do not drive bugs inside to die in the middle of every room, or rats to seek safe haven in rat traps. And I've owned several homes with pools, and the pool dirt was not consistent with being cleaned two days prior, monsoon or not (the pool pump & filters had a service check date two days prior to our arrival).
