Beautiful views
We especially liked the outdoor patio area and the spectacular views from the upstairs. Having the TV, bed and basic living space upstairs with the bathroom downstairs was not the most convenient situation but was listed as such so it was not a surprise.

My wife and I had a throughly enjoyable stay at this wonderful apartment. The dwelling felt like home very quickly. We stayed for 21 days and the steps to the 2nd floor were manageable for two 70 year olds who are out of shape. The property sits atop a hill which makes the view of the Catalina's even more spectacular. This vantage point also makes the driveway a little steep. The kitchen was well supplied with utensils. I'll bring a knife sharpener next year. The TV in the upstairs bedroom is a nice 40" flat screen I believe. A dozen or more DVD's complimented the dozen we brought. No cable or satellite (Antennae TV or as my brother-in-law calls it "Amish television) but how much TV are you wanting to watch in winter a paradise. Huge bathroom with large garden tub and seperate shower. Very nice dining room with another big picture window. All the windows have powered outside security blinds which is more beneficial in the warm weather. The apartment shares the premises with an unoccupied attached home and a separate building with an efficiency apartment, garage and laundry room. An over/under washer and dryer worked well and was handy for us. The turn off of River Road is a bit confusing but we finally figured out the entrance. Our host. Meg, was easy to communicate with and was quick to respond to any concerns. We brought or bought our water. My folks lived in Tuscon for 20 years and we learned to use purified water for cooking, coffee etc. The water was rusty at first.

Works for a short visit
WE LOVED: - mountain views in back and city in front. -nice, quiet, homey area. -Location feels semi-rural, but is very convenient. -Lots of good restaurants handy. - Furnishings comfortable, although bed seemed cramped -Washer/dryer large and work well. -Landlord responded quickly when we requested trash/recyclable pickups. Interesting books in bookcase, w/magazines highlighting local interests. DID NOT LOVE: -Kitchen had mismatched dishes, sparse flatware, poor cookware. -Property needs repairs. -Hot water sometimes brown. Cold water usually yellowish. Bought water/ice for consumption. -Hard to find driveway turn-in in daylight. At night almost impossible, and road is extremely busy. Reflectors on mailbox post have lost reflectiveness, and are lost among the highway indicators along the road. SURPRISED BY: -bathroom is on first floor, but bedroom is upstairs. -No key to security door, so couldn’t leave inside door open on pretty days. -Unlike photos, neither grill nor swing on patio, nor chairs/table by unit door. -No footrest to “Eames’ chair in bedroom. -Washer/dryer are on different part of property, shared with another rental. Had time conflicts on use. Suggest landlord make sure both units are aware of assigned times.

Lovely place in the Tucson foothills
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The place was clean and well-furnished. A perfect size for us and a quick 5 minutes to the bike trail (I generally bike ride daily in Tucson). The view was stunning and the privacy of the terrace terrific. We were grateful our host made herself so available to help us find the location even though we arrived quite late in the evening. My only concern was the tap water which was yellow. When asked our host explained it was due to old pipes so we bought bottled water to drink/cook with. Overall, we happily give our host and this location 5 stars!

Awesome stay
Our recent stay was great. Meg was cordial & respected our privacy while we were there. The guest house was clean & comfortable and we had a beautiful view of the mountains. We especially liked the "country" feel of the location & yet had many stores available to us nearby. Great walking/biking trail just 3 minutes away. We would stay here again, Dan & Maureen

Great views and value
The space, both inside and out, was wonderful. The property was private with marvelous views. We were able to cook a turkey dinner and then enjoy Christmas dinner out on the spacious covered patio. I especially enjoyed the views from the very large second floor bedroom, and having a fireplace was a definite plus for the cool evenings. The location was marvelous, and the owners were very responsive to our needs. This place was a real find!

Needs Work
Not recommended for seniors and/or people with bad knees. Stairs are very steep and bathroom and bedroom are on separate floors. No water pressure in any faucets and very brown water with sediment. Kitchen is too small to work in. The bathroom was roomy and clean. Nice outside yard. Bees had built a home until roof tiles and migrated inside where they died……dead bees everywhere. Antiquated smoke detector. Cant recommend this condo.

Safety Concerns
We booked this property for the setting and the location, close to the Gem Show. Both of those goals were met, beautiful cacti and views, and convenient location. But we were unhappy with the condition of the unit from the beginning: musty/dusty smell, with numerous artificial plants as decor; poor water quality and pressure, not enough for the jacuzzi tub, which we never used; poor quality linens; honeybees in the bathroom coming in from a nest outside; very inconvenient layout with bathroom and unusable living/dining area on lower level; uneven heat, very cold in the lower level. No cable TV and sporadic signal. However, we also had safety issues; both of us fell on the poorly constructed stairs which we concluded had 4 or move code violations: not built to code- too much rise, with not enough width, no lighting, and no railing. Owners have been unresponsive. We would not recommend this property, and certainly not for anyone over 50.
