Units face out to yards where you can see into other properties (like an apartment complex) so the walk-out deck area was not private and had no view. "We arrived at prime check in time but no one at the desk, and it took 10 minutes and ringing the bell multiple times before anyone showed up. The room was very basic, and was on the first floor. It was incredibly hot, and although there was a fan, even with all windows open, it didn’t cool off. The fridge in the room was also putting out exhaust heat, adding to the misery. Being on the first floor, with windows open, we heard ALL of the street noise of which there was much - teens racing...

"Great place to stay. It was clean and all that was promised in the listing. The location was amazing as it is basically on the side of the mountain it this cute village area. Be sure to make certain the road access from Airlo is open! Google maps will take you up to a snow closed road in the winter. Turning around on this narrow road at night is sketchy. "Excellent old Andermatt property with a storied past. The team works hard to make your stay enjoyable. Breakfast is not substantial, but an excellent way to start. Lunch and dinner options are excellent on site as are their local recommendations, all walking distance. Ski lift a 4-5 minute walk. Rooms are small and this is a village Inn so temper your expectations and you will have an amazing time! When we come back to Andermatt, we we stay here for sure! "
