All the amenities we needed in the kitchen and bathroom to make us feel right at home. Our goal was to spend as much time with family without also going crazy, and the amount of space and things to do allowed that to happen. "We enjoyed our stay at the Birdshack. There was plenty of room for our group of 20, lots of comfortable seating in 3 different living spaces.There was plenty of room for dining, too. Most bedrooms were good size with comfortable beds. The big pantry closet in the kitchen was great for all are food. The grandkids enjoyed all the games, including the pool table .The walk to the water on the sidewalk is a bit steep but doable if you take it slow. The porches on the back were nice, including the screened in area. A great place for a family vacation."

"Loved the place, perfect for our family. Everything was as listed would recommend to anyone wanting a beautiful spot on the lake. My only complaint would be since we were there when it was cold, more than one tv would’ve been nice. I know it’s a lake house but in the colder months a tv down stairs would be nice. outside of that everything else was perfect."

Macks Creek Cabin on 30 Acres: Dock & Private Lake

Absolute Perfection…Only Better!

"This was an amazing vacation retreat. The cabin was incredible with its warm woodwork throughout and was beautifully decorated with antiques, lending to the ambiance of a true cabin in the woods. It only gets better when you step outside and take in the stunning view of the lake and secluded landscape from the big wrap-around covered porch. Although the inside is warm and inviting, most of our time was spent outside enjoying the quiet tranquility of the nature that surrounds it. The cabin is well stocked with all the modern day amenities we needed. It was EXTREMELY clean and well cared for. The beds were comfortable and each bedroom and the living room had a TV with cable access. The only thing missing was an indoor shower, however there is an awesome outdoor shower by the hot-tub, so just be sure to bring a robe! The grounds of the retreat offer hiking, fishing, boating and kayaking. The fishing was incredible. If you have little ones you want to teach to fish, this would be an awesome place to do it. Wildlife was abundant, there was even a pair of bald eagles who regularly flew over the lake looking for fish. The property managers (Cindy and Johnny) were incredibly friendly and helpful. Thank you both for an amazing stay!"
