Disliked: Amenities, property conditions & facilities
I read the reviews prior to booking this place and was encouraged. Upon arrival it was a disappointment. The apartment is tired, dated with "amateurish" DIY fixtures, old furniture and appliances, incomplete china, cramped. It smelled bad, with a small glass door and a small window to ventilate. Things got worse: I suspected the bad smell was a gas leak, no smoke, CO or gas detector and very old and used up heater, so I worried. I called the agent, and the response was prompt and the matter was solved almost immediately by a super friendly gentleman. Then I wanted to use the shower, but the cap simply broke-off and I had to hose down with nearly boiling water. The shower is very small, and slippery - I tried messaging the agent, but got an automated reply (out of office) - the next morning I couldn't make coffee, the moka was missing a part. I texted again and didn't hear back until after lunch. The problems were taken care of by the time I got back in the evening. No further problems after that, and as the days went by, I got used to the place, it grew on me. It has what you could call "good vibes". I was a little sad to leave this morning. In all, not for more than one person, not for bigger sized individuals, not for people who are not super fit (5 flights, no lift are a lot) and definitively not for people with higher standards looking for a modern, fully furnished apartment. The PRO: location is unbeatable, walking distance everywhere. You're right in the heart of Turin.
