Attend live concerts and festivals, sporting events and an Independence Day celebration at the largest open-air arena in West Alabama.

At the Tuscaloosa Amphitheater you can watch live music performances by world famous national and international artists. This outdoor arena opened in 2011 with shows by American rock bands The Avett Brothers and Band of Horses. With a capacity for an audience of almost 7,500, it is the largest open-air venue in West Alabama.

Concerts are the main attraction here and spectators are treated to superb acoustics and excellent stage views from all areas of the amphitheater. Concerts cover all musical genres, from rock, pop and country to blues, folk and jazz. The venue counts The Beach Boys, Bob Dylan, Neil Young and Crazy Horse, Miranda Lambert and Rascal Flatts among previous performers.

Don’t miss the 4th of July Celebration on the River concert, when the Tuscaloosa Symphony Orchestra entertains spectators with renditions of American themed songs. In addition to music, the event offers children’s activities and rounds off with a grand firework display. The amphitheater also hosts sporting events such as the annual Tuscaloosa half marathon.

While attending events you’ll be able to purchase food and drink at numerous stands situated throughout the venue. Consider bringing a picnic to enjoy on the lawns of nearby Capitol Park or at the banks of the Black Warrior River, before entering the venue.

Tuscaloosa Amphitheater overlooks the Black Warrior River and is a short walk from Tuscaloosa’s downtown district. There are several parking lots situated close to the arena, including a designated handicapped parking area. There is also a bicycle parking area at the main entrance. A public bus service operates between the arena and Tuscaloosa City Hall.

Purchase tickets to shows either online or by telephone. You can also visit the box office, open daily and located at the main entrance. Visit the amphitheater’s official website for further information, including an event schedule and ticket prices. Remember to bring photo identification if collecting preordered tickets at the box office.
