"The hotel is huge but empty. The other hotels in the lake are all shut down. Our hotel was the only place to eat. At the small place open for dinner there was only ONE lady trying to do everything all by herself!!! We had to wait a long time to be served. She took orders, cooked & served the customers & didn’t have time to bus the tables. The breakfast was included with our room & it was okay. The waterfall was impressive. The onsen is huge but empty. I was the only one in there."

"Very clean hotel. The building almost feels more like a small university dorm than a traditional business hotel. The staff doesn't speak much English, so make sure you have at least a rudimentary level of Japanese or a translation device if you're staying here, but they are very helpful and friendly. "We stayed in a Japanese style family room. It was clean and comfortable. Futons were a little thin so we stacked the extras for my husband. The food was delicious and the staff very warm and welcoming. We took the trailhead across from the hotel and enjoyed a run by the lake. Beautiful area. "
