"We were booked for the weekend- Thu, Fri and Sat nights… the room was in front of the lift so all the bus groups kept coming in and out very loudly very early each morning. Rooms are modern and clean however some bit were off like the light in the toilet was hanging over the basin. There was a green square on the wall behind the Tv which doesn’t make sense and there a powerful smell of freshener everywhere. Asked housekeeping to not to use during or stay and the didn’t. "We were okay with the stay. Basic accomodations with fridge, microwave oven and 2 burner electric stove. Not a resort. Right outside the hotel there is a neighborhood pub which serves food and has very friendly staff. Near historic center of Alcalá de Henares. Birthplace don Miguel de Cervantes. About an 1hour away from central Madrid on the metro which we used. Round trip for was €13.60. We would stay here again. "

"If you dislike being trapped in a hotel room, then this is the place for you. Self catering but with the enhanced security of being in a supervised complex. Plenty of parking for a vehicle. The staff were outstandingly good. Reception, housekeeping, maintenance, all deserve a mention for their efficiency, courteousness and politeness. No complaints at all. Thank you for an enjoyable 8 day stay. "

"We had a wonderful stay at Complutum Hostel! So artsy and cool just like in the photos. Its in steps away from historic sites and literally across the street from a gorgeous old spanish court adorned with lush gardens. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The cafe serves delicious food. The a la carte breakfast at the cafe was wonderful! Fresh squeezed orange juice, quiche and baked goods. YES they squeezed the juice right in front of us! Cool little gathering room filled with tables...
