"The doubletree in Toyama was a nice, clean hotel well located for walking to many places in Toyama. I had very limited knowledge of Toyama going into the trip but the city is lovely!!! Had a great time getting drunk with some locals at a nearby bar and the Rotate sushi place a few blocks from the hotel was phenomenal. I can’t speak to the hotel breakfast since we didn’t partake but any hotel breakfast buffet can’t be so bad right??"

"The room was clean and comfortable. Three pillows and nice mattress. There are at least four coin laundry machines, two inside women’s changing room for the public bath which was quite acceptable. "Right opposite Dentetsu station which was perfect to get to after we did Alpen-route from Oginawa direction. Stayed 3 nights used hotel as a base for that plus to go to Kanazawa (20 mins by train), & Fukui (45 mins by train) to Dinosaur museum & also look around Toyama itself rather than drag our bags from hotel to hotel in those places plan worked perfectly.
