Great Condo
We enjoy the first floor access and being right next to the pool and hot tub. Everything we needed was provided. Could use maybe one more place to sit comfortably in the living room.

Great location, urine odor
Condo is great location - can walk to Vail Village or Lionshead in just a few minutes! Condo itself could use some updating, and the unit smells strongly of urine to the point where we chose to not spend a lot of time in the condo itself due to the smell (perhaps a prior dog had an accident on the carpet?), although appreciate it is a pet friendly unit as we had our dog with us. Also limited toilet paper provided fyi, but ample shampoo/conditioner.

Great location. As advertised.
Home was exactly as advertised. It was a perfect spot for a 3 week stay in Vail. There were a few minor maintenance issues and they were dealt with timely (one even being resolved on a Sunday!). Would happily stay again.

Perfect Vail family vacation
Parking was a little confusing, but once we figured out that we can park in any spot on the upper deck, we were good. Hot tub was great after a long day of skiing, and the walk to the gondola took about 4 minutes in ski boots, walking out the back door. Conveniently centered to walk to Lionshead restaurants as well as Vail village. We walked every night to a different restaurant. Plenty of space for my family of four.

It’s ok
The home is well located, clean enough, but needs a little love and care. The fireplace didn’t work, some of the blinds couldn’t be opened due to missing strings, the living room felt set up in an awkward way (not facing tv but rather a broken fireplace) Additionally we felt the main bed was missing a comforter and the large furry pillows throughout the home were kind of gross.

Good location but dusty and dirty
While it is a great location, the unit was dusty and our kids who have allergies to dust mites were very uncomfortable the entire time. I would suggest removing the carpet and going to hardwood or tile / stone. For what we paid, wish it was much better / clean.

Disliked: Check-in
August in Vail
Property is located between Vail and Lionshead right behind the Dobson ice rink. Has a lovely pool and great hot tub as well. The condo met all of our needs. We came in late at night and we were confused where the actual unit was in the dark. We had to call Vacasa and they were not really sure. In the check in instructions, they need to be more clear; like find the elevator and go down to G level etc. We had our dogs and the patio door went straight out to the back grass, that was very convenient.

Really awesome property overall. Loved the layout of the room along with the decor. Master bed was so comfortable, as was the pullout couch. The only two complaints was that the instructions on how to find the unit were HORRIBLE. We had to stand out in the freezing cold trying to get ahold of someone at VRBO or the property management company (Vacasa) because the instructions sent to us were unclear and the unit was hidden. If antone has this issue.. you have to that the west elevator DOWN to the ground floor (where pool is) and walk past the pool to the end of the hall to the unit. None of this was communicated. Otherwise, once the management called us they were really sweet and helpful. Also the steam room didn’t work while we were there but the hot tub and pool were awesome. Would definitely stay again.

Good Access to the mountain
This condo was in a good location. Vacasa isn't the best management company. It was difficult to know what specific amenities would be provided. We wanted to make sure there were enough linens, pillows and blankets for 6 people however the response from Vacasa was that we may want to provide our own blankets and pillows to ensure our comfort. My husband fell on black isc and we wanted to enter the condo a few hours early so he could rest, however we were told this unit does not qualify for early entry. Forturnately, the people at Vail International (where the condo is located) were extremely helpful and provided us options so he rest. This property is not well managed by Vacasa. Will not be staying here again.

Could of been more enjoyable…
It was a great location and walking distance to everything we wanted to do, however, inside the rental there was an ant mound with live ants crawling near the back patio door by the dining table. When contacting Vacasa about it, response was stated that they would get someone involved to handle the matter and we never heard anything again so the issue was never resolved. There was construction going on directly above us starting at 7am every day, and there was about 30 or so kids running and screaming from the pool and into the halls all day and well after quiet hours for several days. I normally really enjoy staying in Vacasa properties, but I was a little disappointed this time as I’m still waiting on a response on why I was never followed up with regarding the ants. Also, I recommend future renters to bring extra trash bags because there were none left in the property while we were there.

Nice Place, super hard to find
The place had all the creature comforts well stocked and the place was very clean. They thought of all the details except the location. It is located in Vail International Resorts, not under Alpine Retreat. There is no one in the office and when you call the number on the door, the concierge does not know Alpine Retreat. You have to take the south elevator to the bottom floor and look for the units there. It took us two hours of calling and no one at VACASA could help us find the unit. Also, the directory of the building does not have any INFORMATION or the unit numbers listed on it for Alpine Retreat so you keep thinking you are in the wrong place. Our host did text us and kept once we got into the unit. Also, the trash is not out the doors of the unit. The trash is located behind the stairs you go up to get to the office on the floor above the unit. Very frustrating

Fabulous location but property needs some attention
Loved the location, the proximity to Lionshead and Vail Village, the free bus, the first floor location for our dog to go out. Hot tub and pool were awesome. The condo itself could use some TLC. Wall socket in hall has broken drywall. Front hall closet has a loose tile hiding the plumbing behind it. Weird. Hall bath is very, very small. Kitchen was adequate but there are only 9 drinking glasses. The disposal backed up upon arrival and was not fixed for 24 hours and only after I got in touch with a manager at Vacasa. Our first day there we could not use the sink or dishwasher. In addition to this, some workmen came and replaced the fireplace insert. No one told us this would happen. There was not enough toilet paper, no kleenex, and the paper towels were in short supply. No napkins or placemats, Only two dish towels were provided. Quite strange since we were a party of 4 adults. This condo had absolutely the bare minimum of everything. The blankets did not seem that fresh and there were none on the beds when we arrived. Also, no instructions for the TV. We made the best of everything and the amenities made up for the shortcomings of the condo itself. In general we had a lovely time.

Paradise
This is our second year staying in this condo. Love that it is situated right between Lionshead and Vail Village. We have two small pups and it is very convenient to just walk out the back sliding door for them to do their business. While the unit is a bit dated, it has everything that is needed.

Check in/out windows Not Convenient
The property itself was great. The problem I have is with VRBO in general and the bait and switch tactics. They pull you in with a decent nightly rate, then after all the fees are added it becomes way overpriced. The other thing that was terrible was the very short check in and check out windows. 4pm check in and 10am check out is not convenient and gives us less time to enjoy our vacation. I called for an early check in which was extremely difficult to reach a person and was told absolutely not because there are back to back reservations. Well, I got a text on my way to the property saying I could check in 3 hours early! It was too late at that point as I had already made plans to arrive at 4:00. If there was a chance I could have gotten in early, they should have told me instead of a flat NO. I would be hesitant to book a trip this way again because of the poor customer service.
