"We were travelling on a road trip between Normandie and Bretagne and found this little Precious gem in the middle of Pontorson. Located 5 minutes walk from the train and bus station, the room was decorated with great care and was super comfortable and clean. "This was a special stay, not for the quality of the accommodation but because of it's location and history.
Room was fairly basic but a view to die for, just spectacular.
Mt St Michel is magnificent, at night it becomes magical. The abbey lit up at night was amazing.
La mere Poulard was ok, friendly reception and good sized, old fashioned room with important fridge, bottled water and fan (essential for the summer).
Breakfast was good, eggs, bacon, charcuterie, fresh pastries and breads and freshly made gluten free bread.
The rooms are dripping in history.
Worth it just to experience the Mt and Abbey at night and early morning before it is swamped with visitors.

"We had a great time staying on the island in this cute 4 single bed room. It had 2 single beds pushed together on the main floor and then a loft with 2 single beds. The bathroom was large and newly redone. We were able to open the windows for a draft and it was very quiet until around 9am. We were able to enjoy exploring the island and liked the back door that went right out onto the ramparts. There is a very cute courtyard that guests can access that we didn't realize. Beautiful flowers and tables, we had a picnic out there. "
