"We stayed in the old traditional Lipari home and it was absolutely beautiful. For a couple, there was nothing better than waking up to the view out over the sea in the morning as the sun was rising. "An incredible house on an incredible island. We had a lovely time staying at this beautiful house. It was well managed, had all of the cooking amenities we needed, and was a lovely place to unwind and relax. Our host made it easy to check in, going as far as having a taxi ready for us after the ferry dropped us off and offering to call us a taxi to return to the ferry. "Canneto is beautiful. Ristorante Meraglia on the main foreshore road is fantastic. Christiana’s property is high above the foreshore with stunning views. Access is up a very steep slope and once again I wished we packed more lightly. We had to ask for a toaster and blankets and some other things. Initially we were dealing with an agent and obtaining assistance was difficult, but then Christiana’s husband appeared from next door and it was then plain-sailing!"

"There are stunning views from the villa. Sadly this did not translate into a stunning holiday. The main problem was the unresponsive and rude housekeeper. We'd not been told where to put the rubbish. In some villas we've stayed the housekeeper would move this periodically or at the end of the stay. "This is a lovely hotel in well looked after grounds in a good location. Close to the port and shops and restaurants. The pool is beautiful and there are plenty of parasols. The room was cleaned well every day. The main issue we had was with the breakfast. It was served from 7 to 10 but a lot of items were not replenished even at 9am with an hour still to go. The water for tea was not hot enough and the coffee dispenser was barely warm. You could order drinks from the waiting staff...
