"I stay here a few times a year. Rooms are a good size. Not luxurious but has the essentials and are clean and tidy. Town centre is 10 minute walk. Nice selection at breakfast."

"For the price the room and facilities were great. The room was large with an adjoining bathroom which had a separate toilet. The bathroom was huge with a double sink. The art deco theme runs through the hotel and it is very beautiful in the bar restaurant area. Food must be good as it appeared to be all locals eating there. Bar very good value for money and the free too up of wine very welcome. Very friendly staff. Close to the train station, ample parking on the side streets adjacent to the hotel. Downsides: I’m a wheelchair user, the ramp was at such an acute angle that it was too dangerous. So I had to get help to get up the few steps. The lift is extremely small and barely fit my wheelchair in, I had to pull up the foot rests and mine is a travel electric chair so it’s compact. So if you’re a wheelchair user I would not recommend this hotel. There was food in the mini fridge that was half eaten. The noise aspect was not the other hotel guests it was people who had left local clubs and decided to stand in the street screaming & shouting from 1am to 4am … we could not sleep but not the fault of the hotel staff. So if you need quiet then this may not be the place for you. The very bizarre carpet in the hallways was very strange and really does cause your eyes to deceive you, I dare anyone to attempt to navigate a straight line on it. "

"It seems that the host has a special opinion about what "Lux" means. When we arrived at the place, it was quite cold and there was no guidance on how to turn on the heating and the thermostats on the radiators were covered with rubber, preventing us from adjusting the temperature. Additionally, there wasn't enough bedding for the three of us. Only one bed was prepared, and I had to personally go to the host owned hotel to complain and ask for extra bedding. Same issue with the towels. I booked for three people, but only one towel was provided. In terms of the kitchenette, the fridge was dirty and couldn't be closed properly due to frost from the freezer compartment. There were only two pans available, and they were not suitable for cooking. There was a severe shortage of crockery, with barely anything provided. There were no supplies such as coffee, tea, or sugar. Moving on to the bathroom, there was no soap, shower gel, or shampoo provided. Additionally, there was no rug in the bathroom, and the toilet seat fixture was broken. And the radiator was not functioning. There was also a problem with the WiFi. Although it was provided, there was no indication of the password after booking or in the flat. I had to contact the host directly to obtain the WiFi password. Despite these issues, I would like to mention that the hotel receptionist was lovely and extremely helpful throughout our stay, so I give them one star. Another star goes for the breakfast provided at the hotel."
