This farmhouse exclusive use, was built by my great-grandparents, back in 1867 (according to the memories of my ancestors still alive). My great-grandmother lived there (MARIA LIMA) as widowed at age 17 with his mother, and there are part of the memories of my grandmother and a few of my own childhood. The randomness of life and commitment of my parents, the house "came" to our hands and we could see fulfilled the dream of seeing her again restored almost from its ruins.
It was a property related to the field and livestock, so its surroundings are the old stonemasons grown and power supply of its occupants, still keeping intact since its construction water tank and part of the areas of livestock housing.
There are no nearby buildings, only the village of Isora in the bottom of the slope on which the house is located. It has been distributed in a bedroom with double bed and one with two single beds, a bathroom and a common space for kitchen and living room, the latter area with large windows, and being the house at the top of a slope It has a spectacular view of part of the coast, the village of Isora and the island of Gomera in the stunning Atlantic horizon.
Outside it has a covered porch, a rear patio accessed from the kitchen, a recreational area surrounding the house (includes parking), but approximately 4 000 m2 of flower beds with fruit, part of the private estate.
SITUATION
The House of Lima is located on the border of the towns of Isora and San Andrés (facing south), near the village of Las Rosas (San Andres), in an isolated environment in which only the sound of birds is heard , the wind and the bells of the church of Isora.
The location of San Andres in the central plateau of the island can be placed in an almost equidistant point compared to the main population centers, tourist routes and itineraries on foot or bicycle featuring the island.
The village of San Andres, predominantly rural, has been tied closely to agriculture (Plateau Nisdafe) and livestock, especially sheep (probably have to give way to one of the few herds of native sheep remaining in the islands, in daily to pasture) path. The path from the center of the village runs along a paved path that winds between houses with rural flavor of the neighborhood of Las Rosas, leading to a pasture area and skirted orchards stone walls up to the house, in the edge of the track.
