"This really is rural. It is in the middle of a forest down an unmade road 2 km to nearest village. It is a beautiful location. Host are generous and welcoming. We heard so many birds including owls and saw bats, and deer locally whilst visiting. The pool was a treat in the hot weather ( unheated for the strong hearted!) Situated in a lovely garden. "François - host par excellence - did everthing possible to make my stay probably the best in the 10+ years I’ve been using VRBO worldwide. His very quiet, well-equipped, retro-chic apartment and patio garden, on the left bank of the Loire, two minutes from restaurants, grocery shopping, is the best for biking to nearby chateaux: Chambord, Chaumont, Cheverny and Blois, of course. You won’ be disappointed."

Close to many other lovely Renaissance castles, romantic little towns and- of course - the Loire.
