What an amazing stay we had at Casa D'Avo! The property is perfectly maintained. The room and common areas were super clean and comfortable. Super friendly staff. And the view is priceless. If we ever return to Sao Jorge Island Casa D'Avo will be our first choice for accomodations.

Felt like at home

We had an amazing stay, we felt looked after like we were visiting family. If you go visit Sao Jorge we highly recommend to stay at Casa D'Avo. Lovely coastal walk from just outside the place as well and nice nearby restaurants.

Great place to stay! Guesthouse has a large fully equipped kitchen plus an outside cooking area. Beautiful garden with views across the water to Pico. Bedroom very comfortable and a good sized bathroom with large shower. Would definately recommend staying here.

Very nice place and the welcome was very good (provide egg & homemade cookie & fruit). Also received an upgrade. The view is nice and the apartment was quiet.

Wonderful stay in Urzelina

Nice area to sit outside, well stocked kitchen, each room has a cabinet for items, basket of fruit from owner’s garden and lovely cake was on one of the tables for guests to enjoy. Diana works very hard keeping the place clean and is always available if have any questions. Short walk to two excellent local restaurants, small but well stocked supermarket and the Trilho Ecologico da Urzelina (TEU), a beautiful 3 KM coast path.

Everything was perfect. The place very clean, tenants and housekeepers are the kindest. You can enjoy a breathtaking view on Pico from certain rooms. Everything is made to make you feel at home and it's a success. For my next trip to Sao Jorge I will come here for sure.

Charming place along the coast of São Jorge.

An amazing place to stay! The view of the ocean with pico island is amazing! The owner and housekeeper were both super friendly, helpful, and accommodating. They brought fresh eggs, fruits from their property, and home made jams every morning! It was nice to have the communal area to meet people (although not too many people in the off season.) For those curious, laundry service costs EUR 10. But they wash, dry, and fold your laundry. Much cheaper than a hotel.

Really excellent property, very modern and great location. I’m taking down a star because I paid extra for panoramic view and instead got an appartement with no view. It might’ve been of equal value but I wasn’t given a choice at the checkin and even when asked I was still given the apartment. Parking on the street was always full, but there is a public lot a block away that was always available and we just parked there all the time. The checkin lady was very helpful and provided a list of restaurants that turned to be very nice.

Great view, very well maintained, beautiful grounds! Rooms are modern, clean, and comfortable. Every person in our party was pleased with this place! When checking in, reception is not marked so note it is the 2nd door on left after you come through the gate.

Best hotel on the hole trip!

Would 100 % recommend this cozy small hotel! Best hotel on the hole trip. Lovely staff in the calm town Uzelina. The rooms were clean and beautiful and it was easy to take a taxi to Velas. You have access to a kitchen where you can make tea, coffees and eat homemade cookies. Beautiful view from the hotel room over Pico.

This was an absolutely lovely property. Victor the host was very welcoming. Deanna checked us in and was awesome! She helped us to find places to eat, interpreted for us getting a cab and was just overall very kind and a joy to be around. Everything was very clean. The views were awesome. The grounds peaceful and very well maintained. We will be back!

Excellent séjour dans cette très belle maison d hôtes. Accueil sympathique de la part des dames qui s occupent de l'entretien . Les chambres sont propres spacieuses et offrent une vue sur l'île de Pico. Tres belle cuisine et terrasse aménagée. La giest house est très bien située.
