"We had a perfect holiday here! The house was clean, well equipped to cook and spend the days. Small excursions to Koper, Izola, Piran, Cerkno as well as the surrounding small villages made this place a perfect destination to travel from. "Really nice place to stay. Our room was very small but we knew this in advance. We were there during a heatwave so the pool was amazing. The airconditioning is also great. Breakfast is good, really nice pistachio croissants. The restaurant next to the hotel is a nice place to eat. Only negatives thing would be that the hotel is a bit noisy, you can hear people in the hallway in the morning for example. "

"We had a fantastic week at Villa Eda, an immaculate property that exceeded our expectations, apart from the lack of a hand whisk in the kitchen. Despite the heat wave with temperatures in the high 30s to low 40s, the efficient air conditioning kept us comfortable. The property’s isolation was perfect for us, although the 10-minute drive on an uneven gravel track requires a car with good suspension. "The Villa Maria is amazing, we had a thoroughly relaxing time. The pool was very well used by us all but especially my 2 children, the Villa has everything you need for a stress free holiday. You definitely need a car as it is so remote but in our opinion this added to the charm. The owners Valmi and Andreja were fantastic throughout. I would highly recommend the Villa Maria, my youngest is 9 and she loved it. I would definitely stay again. Thank you Valmi and Andreja."

Great central location in beautifully restored property

"The property is located in a small neighborhood below Beram just outside Pazin. Its central location provides easy access to hill towns and seaside areas of Istria as well as day trips to explore Slovenia and Trieste. The property manager lives in the neighborhood and always immediately responded to our questions or assistance requests. We arrived mid-September just as the weather became unseasonably cold. As a result, the bedrooms and bathrooms were very chilly as they are not heated. The property description should state that only the common areas are heated & cooled. While the accommodations are very good we would suggest the following to make renters stay even more comfortable: written instructions for operating kitchen appliances (microwave, stove, dishwasher operation is not self-evident); wifi is weak - install boosters; bedrooms need more clothes hangers in armoires (2 per room insufficient); add clothes hooks in bedrooms particularly in bedroom with only shelves in armour; add towel hooks in bathrooms (1 small hook in each is insufficient); wooden sticks/bars to hold shutters open to prevent banging and closing with the wind. We had numerous wasps in the kitchen - their entry point should be found and closed - the property manager stated that they probably entered when we opened the kitchen door and although we were careful and watched this was not our experience. We hope these suggestions are found to help make an excellent rental even better. "

"Beautiful hotel. This hotel is from another era but completely renovated and impeccably maintained. Beautiful property, photos probably don’t do it justice. Spa is also very, very nice. Breakfast buffet was also incredible and included with the room. Views on the outdoor veranda are beautiful too. Do yourself a favor and stay here. The surrounding area is also quite beautiful. Lots of upscale shopping and restaurants. "
