Vemdalen is 300 miles (490 kilometers) northeast of Stockholm, easily accessible by car, bus or train. There are two airports to choose between: Åre/Östersund airport and Svegs airport. From Åre/Östersund airport it takes 1.5 hours by rental car or taxi transfer to reach Vemdalen and from Sveg it's 1 hour. You can go directly to Vemdalen by train in winter. In summer you travel to the railway station in Östersund and go by rental car or taxi for 1.5 hours to Vemdalen.
The ski season on Vemdalen runs between Novemer to the end of April.
